Mika Leads 'Morning Joe' in Complaints Over Lack of January 6 Hearing Coverage

June 16th, 2022 4:11 PM

No person on the face of this planet likes it when somebody whines. However, the left loves to whine; and even worse, all the sane people just tolerate it! It’s what viewers of Morning Joe have to tolerate on a regular basis while watching Joe and friends complain about every move the GOP makes. Wednesday’s edition of the show was no different with co-host Mika Brzezinski continuing to gripe about Fox News (which she didn’t mention by name) and the January 6 Committee hearings.

For the liberal media, the January 6 Committee hearings are still a huge topic because to them, that day in 2021 was when “democracy was being pulled apart.” At least, that’s how Brzezinski sees it. The Morning Joe co-host started the bias off by commending the hearings as “doing an incredible service to democracy.”

Because hearings that are political theater designed to distract Americans are the most effective way of preserving democracy.

“There are news organizations that refuse to cover this. They don’t think it’s news,” she seethed.

Then exclaiming: “Like this is not an argument. As to whether or not it is the truth being laid out before the eyes of the American people. It's not an argument that this is an important news story that should be covered by legitimate news organizations and yet, we have this problem.”

Main host Joe Scarborough chimed in by saying that he needed “to correct one thing.” Now wait a second, Joe, before you correct anything, there is something else that must be corrected first.

Mika’s biased bubble is about to burst. Because remember, there were zero hearings on Tuesday, so of course Fox News wasn’t covering it. There was nothing to be covered! Another thing to remember is that there were hearings on Monday, which Fox did show.

Now, back to Joe Scarborough who desperately wanted to correct something. He said that these media outlets who apparently do not want to cover the hearings “know the truth.” He backed his claim saying “well, they know the viewers based on their market research don't want to see the truth.”

After Scarborough and his crew went on a minutes-long tangent complaining about Laguardia Airport, and Ozzy Osbourne, Mika further complained that Fox News was covering “Biden's economic crisis, Biden's energy problem, Biden’s gas. And they did a good whip around on the economy. But literally three hours – three hours, not a mention of the hearings. Not a mention of the news that was breaking after the hearings about the next hearings.”

She then sympathized with journalists she knows at Fox who just can’t get these hearings covered, saying “I bet it’s hard.”

It’s only hard to get the American people to care about this because these hearings play no factor in their lives. But Mika, here’s what does: gas prices, groceries, baby formula, rent, and mortgage, basically everything the Biden administration has managed to wreak economic havoc on.

Scarborough and friends doing their usual complaining were proudly made possible by United Healthcare and Subway.

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: While, these hearings are really doing an incredible service to democracy and service to our country, there is a bigger problem which we can talk about and that is that there is still a fight for the truth in this country.

There are news organizations that refuse to cover this. They don't think it's news. The fact that Trump officials, people close to the President are showing that they thought they was completely detached from reality. And they were trying to hold the line, while our democracy was being pulled apart.

Like this is not an argument. As to whether or not it is the truth being laid out before the eyes of the American people. It's not an argument that this is an important news story that should be covered by legitimate news organizations and yet, we have this problem.

JOE SCARBOROUGH: Well, but -- I just need to correct one thing.

BRZEZINSKI: Yeah.

SCARBOROUGH: They know it’s the truth.

BRZEZINSKI: They know it's the truth.

SCARBOROUGH: You said they don't think it’s the truth-- no, they know it's the truth. They know their viewers don't want to see the truth.

BRZEZINSKI: Well, maybe they do.

SCARBOROUGH: Well, they know the viewers based on their market research don't want to see the truth. So yesterday, we were flying up yesterday -- by the way, Laguardia, it's beautiful, I love Pennsylvania. It's always great to be able to walk in from Pennsylvania.

BRZEZINSKI: It’s very large.

SCARBOROUGH: You know the great thing is, there are a lot of Amish workers, that all they've been doing is -- yep, now, they're getting to handle bags. Delta's new terminal literally stretches out to Lancaster County-- literally –

BRZEZINSKI: I loved what you were about to say.

[Still rambling about airplanes and Ozzy Osbourne]

6:13:05 a.m.

BRZEZINSKI: I know that because I got the news, apparently, that it was Biden's economic crisis, Biden's energy problem, Biden’s gas. And they did a good whip around on the economy. But literally three hours –

WILLIE GEIST: Yeah.

BRZEZINSKI:  Three hours, not a mention of the hearings. Not a mention of the news that was breaking after the hearings about the next hearings.

SCARBOROUGH: Right.

BRZEZINSKI: Not a mention. And there are some journalists that I really respect. At this network, I was watching I could tell it was painful. I wanted to like call this person who I worked with and be like, how is that for you? Like how do you feel? Because I bet it's hard.
