Amid a discussion about the War in Iran on Wednesday, Morning Joe co-host Joe Scarborough revealed what his next steps would be in negotiations with Iran, while he also told viewers to “calm down” over his proposed negotiation tactic of threatening a ground invasion. Scarborough continued to talk to viewers and told them to subscribe to MS NOW’s new membership program, which includes a “mindfulness” meditation experience that his co-host and wife, Mika Brzezinski, said she used recently to “take a mindful approach to news."

Earlier this month, MS NOW launched a $ 7.99-a-month membership service that includes “meditation exercises” through the Calm app along with live programming from the channel

Scarborough first gave his opinion on possible Trump negotiations with Iran, and said he needed to make a “credible threat” to Iran:

And I will say, if you are going to negotiate – maybe you like this, maybe you don't like this. But if you're going to negotiate, if the Iranians think that you are limited by elections, if the Iranians think you are limited to war from, like, above, then they're just not going to negotiate. At least if there's a credible threat, Donald Trump can say, “I'm not running again. I'm going to put boots on the ground unless you guys want to negotiate now.”

The ever-present Scarborough then, sensing his viewers might not like his war threat, stated, “I'm not saying I want boots on the ground. So, everybody that’s freaked out, you know, breathe into a paper bag right there, and we'll talk through that. We'll get through this together.”

After he seemingly mocked his viewers, he revealed Brzezinski used the new mindfulness experience features of the channel’s new subscription service: “Mika’s very good with mindfulness. She went to an MS NOW mindfulness thing yesterday.”

Brzezinski then chimed in, as the pair now went back and forth in praise of the membership:

BRZEZINSKI: It’s in our membership.

SCARBOROUGH: It’s in our membership for MS NOW. You, you get the app.

BRZEZINSKI: Adding the Calm app and Dan Harris -

SCARBOROUGH: Calm app!

JONATHAN LEMIRE: Brand up.

BRZEZINSKI: Who leads in meditation and actually helps take you through the news with a mindful approach to news.

SCARBOROUGH: How do you think I stay so mindful on the show all the time?

BRZEZINSKI: I love it!

Frequent guest John Heilemann added, “Must be soothing,” as Scarborough responded It is so soothing.” Brzezinski called the app “really cool” and “so smart.”

Scarborough took one more jab before returning to Iran talk:

So, yeah. You all just get on your MS NOW app and get mindful while Willie and I talk about negotiations.

Some other MS NOW regulars could use the aforementioned meditation exercises, as on Tuesday’s Morning Joe, former Hardball host Chris Matthews yelled about Trump and said, “His friends are communists.”
