ABC and CBS Ignore Pelosi’s Media Meltdown, NBC Gives Seconds

On Tuesday, a prominent politician ripped into the media and claimed reporters were “apologists” for the political opposition. This was not an argument that came from President Trump, it laughably was asserted by Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer during a contentious interview, as if the leftist cable channel was somehow in the tank for the GOP.

During her embarrassing meltdown, Pelosi was outraged that Blitzer would actually repeatedly challenge her on her refusal to make a deal with Republicans on a new COVID relief package. In response, the left-wing lawmaker delivered an unhinged tirade: “I don't know why you're always an apologist — and many of your colleagues — apologists for the Republican position.”

Pelosi has a history of fearing tough questions from the press, though usually with the acquiescence of friendly journalists.

Given how poorly the entire exchange reflected on Pelosi and demonstrated how detached from reality she was, it’s no wonder that, on Wednesday, ABC’s Good Morning America and CBS This Morning completely skipped the sad display.

NBC’s Today show actually did notice Pelosi’s tantrum, but not until the 8:00 a.m. ET hour and only for 37 seconds. Correspondent Peter Alexander reported:

PETER ALEXANDER: And with millions of Americans struggling economically due to the coronavirus pandemic, waiting for the White House and Congress to make some deal on a new stimulus package, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi accused CNN’s Wolf Blitzer of siding with Republicans. Take a listen:

NANCY PELOSI: What I say to you is, I don’t know why you’re always an apologist, and many of your colleagues, apologists for the Republican position. What makes me amused, if it weren’t so sad, is how you all think that you know more about the suffering of the American people than those of us who are elected by them to represent them at that table.

ALEXANDER: That was Nancy Pelosi late yesterday.

While the non-coverage on ABC and CBS obviously provided no commercials either, you can fight back by letting top network advertisers know what you think of the leftist content they regularly sponsor.
