While on CBS's Late Show Thursday night, left-wing comedic actor Seth Rogen revealed the shocking amount of hate Hollywood has for conservatives.
After host Stephen Colbert shamelessly hawked the liberal actor’s marijuana business, he abruptly shifted to Rogen’s ugly social media feud with Texas Senator Ted Cruz. Back in January, Rogen picked a fight with Cruz calling him a “fascist” in a series of profane tweets after the Senator criticized President Biden rejoining the Paris Climate Accord. Rogen's hatred resurfaced again as he went after the Republican for a completely innocuous and non-political tweet.
Since Cruz is a favorite target of the late night left, Colbert was eager to highlight the petty attacks launched by the actor. "[Y]ou've had what you are describing as not---not a feud with Ted Cruz, okay," Colbert stated before putting up one tweet exchange where Rogen again called Cruz a "white supremacist fascist." The talk show host glibly asked, "Is that passing harsh judgement?"
But Rogen wasn't remorseful. In fact he doubled down on his hatred, going on a wild rant accusing Cruz of murder. He boasted how he and other leftists, were only trying to defend themselves from violent Republican "creatures" "destroying the country":
Yeah like if someone's like trying to like murder someone with a baseball bat and someone is yelling that person to stop, is that a feud between the baseball bat wielder and the person yelling at the baseball bat wielder? I don't know if that's a feud. I think feud implies two people hitting each other with baseball bats. I'm, like, Ted Cruz is a fascist! He denies the reality of the election. His words caused people to die, and I'm making jokes about it. Is that a feud? I don't know. To me, it doesn't seem like a feud. To me, seems like I'm pointing out the fact that he is a terrible man whose words have resulted in death, you know, and I guess, to me, yeah, like -- I mean, it speaks to what I think is a bigger problem in America which is like a false equivalency, and I think even I was going to use the term "Between the right and the left" which makes it seem like two appendage as of the same creature, which I don't think it is. I think one is -- one is a creature and the other's just trying to stop it from destroying the country, and, so, I don't know if, like, is that a feud?
Rogen added that "the other team" -- ie: Republicans -- were trying to "bludgeon to death" Democrats. After this disgusting tirade, Colbert even seemed shell-shocked, stammering to come up with his next question. “I like that metaphor. I want to uh -- uh -- It's America's pastime, that metaphor,” he joked. He went on to ask Rogen if he would ever “get high” with a Republican:
Have you ever gotten high with someone with whom you share no uh, political philosophies? In other words, do you think you could get high with Ted Cruz and that would be beneficial, to him? Are there a lot of far right people who smoke weed?
The actor remarked it would probably “humanize” Cruz but hanging out with conservatives isn’t something he could stoop morally to do because they were "horrifying:"
But, no, I don't -- I don't -- I don't think so. I've tried, honestly -- there are people in my life who have held the beliefs -- that hold the beliefs that Ted Cruz holds, and I really tried to engage with them um, throughout the last year, and ultimately it was horrifying [chuckles], and, truly, I felt like there is--- nothing I could convey that would reframe this person's reality.
He went on to brag about how he still would never even take a picture with a Republican politician, for instance.
Leftists like Rogen claim Republicans are scary, intolerant bigots who want to control and destroy the country. But his unbending devotion to his left-wing dogma has blinded him to his own frightening intolerance and hatred for anyone who doesn’t think like he does.
