Bigotry on Display at CNN: White Children 'Don't Deserve' to Have Innocent Childhoods

June 3rd, 2020 2:32 PM

Leftists have found a way around taking responsibility for their own racism; they just disguise themselves as “anti-racist activists,” and the media rushes to promote their bigoted statements and ideologies. On CNN Newsroom this morning, one such activist, author Tim Wise, told the friendly CNN panel that to be a proper “anti-racist” ally, white parents need to take away their child’s innocence by teaching them about their white privilege and police brutality, at a young age.

Co-host Poppy Harlow shared with Wise how one of her child’s teachers sent home a letter which directs white parents to teach their kids about the “white privilege” they’ve enjoyed since birth. Harlow fawned over the letter and wondered, “When should parents do this with their kids and how?”

Wise told Harlow that white privilege needed to be taught to white kids as young as possible, and that it needed to be really drilled into their heads by bringing it up again and again. He went on to claim that all black kids across the country have lost their innocence and live in fear of white police officers, thus, all white kids must have their innocence taken away from them as well, (for justice or something):

WISE: I think the important thing for white parents to keep in the front of our mind is that if black children in this country are not allowed innocence and childhood without fear of being killed by police or marginalized in some other way, then our children don't deserve innocence. If Tamir Rice can be shot dead in a public park playing with a toy gun, something white children do all over this country every day without the same fear of being shot, if Tamir Rice can be killed, then white children need to be told at least at the same age, if they can't be innocent, we don't get to be innocent. If we could keep that in the front of our minds, then perhaps we would be able to hear what black and brown folks are telling us every day and have been for many years.

He was also on CBS This Morning Monday where he claimed that white Americans have "been taught to have contempt for black life."

This glorified race-baiting has become fodder for morning news shows this week. Good Morning America lectured parents Tuesday on how they must teach their white kids to be “anti-racists” from “birth” by following a prescribed list of social dos and don'ts like only “diverse” baby play dates. On CBS This Morning, the hosts had on the author of “the antiracist baby” (yes, really) to teach parents how at just three months old, babies can discern race so that is why we need to be talking about race as soon as they’re born and financially support groups committed to antiracism, a vague term that no one really can define in any of these stories.

One thing is clear though; if you don’t comply with every absurd demand from far-left activists to virtue signal how you’re not a racist, then you’re definitely a racist.

POPPY HARLOW: If I could ask you, Tim, one of my children's teachers sent all parents a letter yesterday. And it was a link to this article. Let me pull it up, called “a letter to white parents.” This is what really struck me in it. It asks all of us, quote, “do you actively talk about white privilege with your children?” It goes on to say, “black mothers are 243% more likely to die from pregnancy or childbirth related causes even before birth, your child benefits from white privilege. It's never too early to start appropriate conversations about this.” When should parents do this with their kids and how?

TIM WISE: Well you know we started doing it when our kids were like 6, I’m sure they hated me at the time for trying to talk about white privilege when they were trying to watch a Disney film. But to be perfectly honest, its a great place to explore it. The media, the things our kids are being exposed to, and no, at first they’re not going to understand, but you keep coming back to it, keep coming back to it at age-appropriate ways.

I think the important thing for white parents to keep in the front of our mind is that if black children in this country are not allowed innocence and childhood without fear of being killed by police or marginalized in some other way, then our children don't deserve innocence.
