A canvasser for Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) was reportedly assaulted and seriously injured late Sunday night while going door-to-door for Rubio’s reelection campaign, according to a statement put out by Rubio’s campaign. On Monday, all three evening newscasts ignored the vicious politically motivated attack on an innocent Republican volunteer.
Instead, ABC’s World News Tonight, CBS Evening News, and NBC Nightly News had plenty of time to report on local weather forecasts, the Powerball Jackpot numbers hitting $625 million, and a recall of various dry shampoo products.
“Last night one of our canvassers wearing my T-shirt and a DeSantis hat was brutally attacked by 4 animals who told him Republicans weren’t allowed in their neighborhood in Hialeah, Florida,” Rubio said in a tweet Monday morning.
“He suffered internal bleeding, a broken jaw & will need facial reconstructive surgery,” the tweet went on to say.

According to The Daily Wire, “Hialeah Sgt. Jose Torres revealed that the victim was “an unidentified 27-year-old,” and was struck “multiple times in the face and the head causing the injuries.”
Torres added that the incident started after the victim was handing out fliers and was told he wasn’t permitted to. He was then violently attacked by a 25-year-old named Javier Lopez, The Daily Wire reported.
On Fox News’s Jesse Watters Primetime, host Jesse Watters and radio host Dana Loesch tore into the media for their failure to report on this horrific political attack.
“Have you heard a peep about the Republican canvasser who was working for Marco Rubio? He was assaulted because he was wearing a Rubio t-shirt in the wrong neighborhood internal bleeding, broken jaw? They don't care. Crime isn't real until it happens on their front door,” Watters said about the leftist media’s lack of interest in the story.
Talking to Loesch, Watters rightly complained: “this Rubio guy was–he almost died. I haven't seen this story anywhere.”
“No. And you won't, Jesse, except here and you talking about it. He has to get facial reconstruction surgery because he was beaten up so badly. And the report said that he was specifically targeted because he was wearing a DeSantis hat and a Rubio shirt,” Loesch noted.
If this was a Democrat campaign volunteer who was assaulted like this by a Republican, the media would be howling over it nonstop, and it would be on the front page of every newspaper in the United States.
This latest outrageous example of bias by omission from the three networks was made possible by Febreze on ABC, Ensure on CBS, and WeatherTech on NBC. Their information is linked so you can contact them about the biased news they fund.

7:46:28 p.m. EasternJESSE WATTERS: Have you heard a peep about the Republican canvasser who was working for Marco Rubio? He was assaulted because he was wearing a Rubio t-shirt in the wrong neighborhood internal bleeding, broken jaw? They don't care. Crime isn't real until it happens on their front door. Dana Loesch is a nationally syndicated radio host who joins me now. So, Dana, this Rubio guy was–he almost died. I haven't seen this story anywhere.
DANA LOESCH: No. And you won't, Jesse, except here and you talking about it. He has to get facial reconstruction surgery because he was beaten up so badly. And the report said that he was specifically targeted because he was wearing a DeSantis hat and a Rubio shirt. And if you want to have a discussion about a racially or ethically or politically motivated attack, there it is. We have seen a lot of those over the years.
People were afraid to wear red hats in public, now we’re gonna gravitate from wearing red hats to wearing anything Republican or any Republican candidate's merchandise at all whatsoever. And DeSantis hats? Good grief. We have been dealing with that for quite some time, and they wanna pretend it doesn't exist. Don't hear anything like that from Merrick Garland. You don’t hear anything like that from President Mcunity when he’s up there talking about extremism, Mega Maga political trickle down, whatever that is. No, but there are people who are really dealing with this. It’s all fun and games, Jesse until somebody gets their jaw knocked off their head and has to have it sewn back on by doctors.
