As we saw once again this week, the most important story the Elitist Media will often cover is…the Elitist Media. Due to a combination of narcissistic coverage of the White House media ban and the usual stack of nonsensical filler, there are a multitude of important stories that were left off the network evening news. Here are a few of them.
Former Alaska congresswoman and current Senate candidate Mary Peltola was the subject of a recent article detailing her as an awful boss who addresses individuals with terms considered to be off-limits in the current discourse. Per The New York Times:
Former aides describe angry and profane outbursts, sometimes directed at aides and sometimes expressed about others who had displeased her. In one instance, she shoved an aide, according to a former staff member who was present and two others who were told about it at the time. Another conflict led to a surprising staff shake-up on the eve of the primary election last month.
Four former staff members said they directly heard her use the word “faggot” over the years, in some cases about her own staff members, an allegation the campaign denied. She also used the word “retarded,” according to former aides and text messages viewed by The New York Times.
Her demands could be unusual, such as requiring aides to feed live crickets to her family’s pet chameleon, Meatball.
Imagine for a moment that a former Republican congressman and Senate candidate were the subject of a similar Times exposé. What would the coverage look like? Correspondents would be dispatched to Juneau post haste. The story would run top of A-block for most of the week. But in this case, Peltola is the beneficiary of the media’s (D)ouble standard.
A shock poll making the rounds online but gaining zero minutes on the Elitist Media Evening News makes clear that there is a taste for violence on one side of the aisle. Per The New York Post:
Nearly six in 10 (59%) of Democratic respondents said they would feel “very positive” or “somewhat positive” if the US military removed Trump and seized control of the American government, while 55% said they would feel the same if the president passed away peacefully, according to the survey from the Center for Strategic Politics

The survey also showed that nearly one-third of Democrats (32%) said they would feel “very” or “somewhat positive” if the president were assassinated at a rally, while 43% said they would feel “very” or “somewhat negative” about the news.
If this were a poll of Republicans saying these things about a Democrat president, you’d have Many Raju on skates trying to shove a microphone into the faces of as many GOP members of Congress as possible. In this case: a total blackout.
Apropos of political violence: the record will reflect that NBC Nightly News is the ONLY evening newscast so far to report the passing of James Copenhaver, who never fully recovered from injuries suffered after being shot during the assassination attempt against President Trump in Butler, PA.

TOM LLAMAS: We're back now with a sad update on one of the men that was seriously hurt during the 2024 assassination attempt on President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. The family of James Copenhaver announcing he died on Wednesday while surrounded by his loved ones. I spoke with him after the assassination attempt, and he told me about the ongoing health problems he suffered because of the gunshot wounds. It is unclear tonight if those issues were the cause of his death.
Violent crime reporting is also a victim of the media’s double standards. Multiple outlets, including the CBS Evening News, covered the violent home invasion/murder of a highly respected Pittsburgh pediatrician. However, zero outlets have reported on the quadruple murder of a South Texas family by an illegal alien. Per KRIS:
A 25-year-old man from Honduras is facing one count of capital murder of multiple people and three counts of abandoning or endangering a child in connection with the shooting deaths of four members of the same family near San Benito.
Christian Joel Maldonado Pacheco appeared before a judge for a formal reading of the charges with the help of an interpreter.
During his court appearance, Maldonado Pacheco said he is not a U.S. citizen and is from Honduras.
(Cameron County Sheriff Manuel) Treviño said U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement identified Maldonado Pacheco and determined he is in the country illegally. ICE then placed an immigration detainer on him.
What differentiates one awful murder story from another? In this case, the former serves as back-of-A-block local crime filler, a spot normally occupied by nonlethal vehicular or aircraft mishaps. The latter is a counternarrative story that brutally reminds us of the dangers of an open border.
What did the networks report, you may ask yourselves, in lieu of the stories shown above? Great question. ABC did the NFL fining a 49ers player for a “beer-chugging” celebration, and Clavicular’s sexual assault charge. CBS covered a group of firefighter trainees overwhelmed by a firehose, Fat Bear season in Alaska, Ella Langley overtaking Mariah Carey’s Billboard record, and an Amazon driver spooked by chickens. NBC reported on United Airlines forcing a woman to sit next to a masturbator (slow week for aviation mishaps), and man vs. robot cagefighting. In other words, these filler stories prove that omission continues to be a choice.
These gross omissions remind us yet again of that old Iowahawk proverb:
