In early May, a pair of illegal aliens of Jordanian provenance and passing themselves off as Amazon contractors attempted to breach one of the nation’s most sensitive military bases: Marine Corps Base Quantico (VA). Despite the latest shocking developments in an already strange case, the Regime Media have displayed no curiosity, intellectual or otherwise.
And now, shockingly, the suspects have been released from federal custody after posting cash bail. As Jennie Taer reports for The New York Post:
The two illegal Jordanian migrants who are charged with trying to breach Marine Corps Base Quantico in May posted thousands of dollars in bail and were allowed to leave federal custody, The Post can exclusively reveal.
Hasan Yousef Hamdan, 32, and Mohammad Khair Dabous, 28, were released from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention despite their immigration status — Hamdan had crossed into the country illegally in April and Dabous had overstayed his student visa and is subject to removal proceedings, law enforcement sources told The Post.
They were arrested on May 3 for trespassing onto the military installation and handed over to ICE officers because of their immigration statuses.
Actually, per reports, they tried to breach the gate and triggered countermeasures. The attempted breach has an eerie similarity to Hezbollah’s 1983 bombing of the Marine Barracks in Beirut, Lebanon- a truck bombing. Given this historical backdrop, one would have expected to see a little more media interest in covering this story. But, alas, this is not the case.
And Quantico is a particularly sensitive target.
The site is home to the FBI Academy and FBI Laboratory, as well as a Defense Intelligence Agency facility and several major US Marine Corps commands — including the unit that flies the Marine One presidential helicopter.
The incident triggered a House Homeland Security Committee investigation. Per The Washington Times:
A worrying incident earlier this month in which two Jordanian migrants were caught trying to push their way onto a Marine Corps base has members of Congress demanding answers into whether the men had terrorism ties.
House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green, Tennessee Republican, said the incident reflects a “terrifying reality” about the border, where an unprecedented number of people on the terrorism watchlist have been detected trying to sneak into the U.S. from Mexico.
Both of these men attempted to make a delivery, and attempted to bypass a security checkpoint. One of these individuals is on the terror watch list. And to this day, there are more questions than answers.
What was in the truck at the time of their detention? Why were these individuals freed from ICE custody? The entire incident stinks to high heaven, and there remain many of gaps in the story.
But the most disturbing aspects of this story are the Biden Administration's silence on what looks, walks and quacks like a dry run for a potential terror attack, and the media's refusal to perform investigative journalism. What is the Biden Administration trying to hide, and why is his sycophant media so willing to abet that hiding?
