On Thursday afternoon, NewsBusters Managing Editor Curtis Houck joined The Scott Jennings Show to expose a coordinated media protection racket gaslighting voters from Richmond to Sacramento. While the elitist press spent the week celebrating a narrow, 3-point victory for a radical new congressional map in Virginia, Jennings noted that a "wet blanket" has emerged in the form of former Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli’s arguments—specifically that the state Supreme Court could toss the entire map in weeks.
The elitist media want you to see a blue map; they don't want you to see the disenfranchised voters in rural Virginia.@CurtisHouck exposes the media for celebrating a "win" for VA Dems, even though a Circuit Court already ruled their maps unconstitutional. @ScottJenningsKY pic.twitter.com/jKIG52uTe9

Houck shredded the broadcast networks—ABC, CBS, and NBC—for journalistic malpractice, noting they largely omitted the fact that the "Yes" campaign outspent opponents 5-to-1 or that a circuit court has already ruled the map unconstitutional. This calculated minimization of the facts ensures voters don’t realize they’ve been disenfranchised by a map that tethers rural communities to the far-left enclaves of Northern Virginia.
The conversation turned to the media’s pathological need to reward failure, specifically regarding California Governor Gavin Newsom. Houck pointed out the absurdity of the leftist press treating Newsom as a gold standard despite his state’s spiraling crises. "It’s the same group of people who looked at Gavin Newsom’s disastrous track record and effectively gave him an 'A' in homelessness," Houck told Jennings. He argued that if the media can provide cover for the collapse of California’s streets, it’s no wonder they are sanitizing a rigged Virginia map that Jennings noted effectively renders the Republican Party illegal.
Gavin Newsom gets an “A” for effort on homelessness? In what universe?@CurtisHouck joins @ScottJenningsKY to torch the total delusion of the CA debate.

Anything other than an “F” is a total insult to every Californian seeing the reality right in front of them. pic.twitter.com/rDFfRpNOnf
Houck concluded by torching the media for ignoring the two-track plan to silence Virginians, from gerrymandered districts to Governor Spanberger’s push to outsource electoral votes to a national popular vote. Whether it's the "Newsom-ification" of Virginia or protecting the scandal-ridden Southern Poverty Law Center, Houck’s message was clear: the press isn't reporting the news; they are acting as the PR department for a radical agenda.
