CNN is obsessed with yet ANOTHER "tell-all" book about Donald Trump. The network doesn't care if these products are true, just that they trash the President. If CNN is SO interested in tell-all books, maybe someone should write one about the liberal cable channel. How would they like that?
On Wednesday morning’s New Day, CNN co-hosts John Berman and Alisyn Camerota brought on political correspondent Sara Murray and political commentator Errol Louis to hype Mary Trump’s book and to make outrageous claims about the president's supporters.
Without any fact checking, the hacks took the claims that Mary Trump makes about President Trump at face value in an effort to make it a campaign issue. Louis also venomously declared that Trump supporters are white “supremacists” and that they are “those who were always opposed to all of the civil rights movement from the 1960s forward.”
Murray began the segment’s complete lack of objectivity by stating that the book paints a “devastating portrait” of the Trump family:
And you can see why the Trump family did not want this book out. It is a devastating portrait, not just of President Trump, but also of a number of other members of the -- of the Trump family, including the patriarch of the family, Fred Trump. But when it comes to the President, Mary Trump essentially described Donald Trump as a sociopath. She compares him, because she's a clinical psychologist, she compares him to how he was as a child and essentially says Donald Trump never learned how to moderate his emotions, he never evolved, and he never learned how to synthesize information. So all in all, a damning portrait of the President from someone in his own family.
Are any of the claims in this “devastating portrait” verified? Would it not be the job of a news organization to determine whether or not such claims about the President are true or not? Oh wait, CNN is not a news organization, it is the propaganda arm of the Democratic Party.
Camerota and Louis then speculated that the book could affect the election:
ALISYN CAMEROTA: It's always interesting to have these tell-all books, particularly from a family member. Do you think that this moves the needle somehow?
ERROL LOUIS (CNN POLITICAL COMMENTATOR): I -- I -- I think it provides an important piece of information for people who may have been wavering or on the fence. I hope Mary Trump by the way is -- is prepared for what’s about to happen to her. The -- the -- the Trump style is to go all out. And I believe they will probably attack everything bad that they can find that she's ever done. And if she hasn't done enough bad things, they'll make up some stuff. You know, she's really put herself right in the middle of the crosshairs. But no, for people who know how to process information and, you know, they're hearing from somebody who has a certain amount of credibility and insight into what might be going on inside the White House, it becomes one more piece of valuable information that voters can take into the voting booth.
“Credibility?” Literally not a single claim in the book is verified.
It’s also interesting that they did not bring up Mary Trump’s allegation that Trump cheated on his SAT. When Berman and Camerota last discussed it, they mocked Trump over it. But the reason that they did not bring the claim up is that the wife of the man who allegedly took the SAT for Trump said it was false. Still, just like with John Bolton’s book and Michael Cohen’s supposed book, CNN will push forward unproven information in order to attack Trump.
Louis then launched into a nasty attack on Trump supporters when discussing Trump’s comments on Tuesday on the Confederate flag:
And, at the same time, signal to his supremacist supporters that he's kind of, you know, he's kind of with them. This is vintage Trump. He's kind of never really disavowed the kind of ugly sentiments that lay behind certain displays of the Confederate battle flag. You know, not even the history of it. You know, it's not so much about what happened in the Civil War. Those flags became a symbol of resistance to the desegregation efforts. It became a -- a -- a symbol of resistance in the civil rights movement. Everyone knows that. Donald Trump knows that everyone knows that. But you're not going to get any clear talk from him because he has decided politically to align himself with those who were always opposed to all of the civil rights movement from the 1960's forward.
Louis may need to read a history book so that he can learn that the Republicans were the party of the civil rights movement, while the Democrats opposed it. He also seems to have forgotten individuals such as Candace Owens, Ben Carson, and Herman Cain who support Trump. Either that or he is just a liar.
CNN has an election to win, and it will continue to use anything it can to help Joe Biden and undermine Trump.

And he was talking about the Confederate flag in ways -- you know, he responded almost as if this was a trick question, yet it was incredibly straightforward. I want you to listen to it.

CATHERINE HERRIDGE (CBS NEWS SENIOR INVESTIGATIVE CORRESPONDENT): Would you be comfortable with your supporters displaying the Confederate battle flag at political events?
DONALD TRUMP: Well, you know, it depends on what your definition is, but I am comfortable with freedom of speech, it's very simple.
HERRIDGE: You understand why the flag is a painful symbol for many people because it's a reminder of slavery?
TRUMP: Well, people love it. And I don’t view -- I know people that like the Confederate flag and they're not thinking about slavery. I look at NASCAR, you go to NASCAR, you had those flags all over the place, they stopped it. I just think it's freedom of speech, whether it's Confederate flags, or Black Lives Matter, or anything else you want to talk about, it's freedom of speech.

BERMAN: Errol, the president did not express one ounce of discomfort or disapproval for the confederate battle flag.
LOUIS: Well, not only no discomfort, but not really even understanding of the question. He had his talking points, his talking points were freedom of speech. He said it three times in about, you know, 30 seconds right there and that's what he's going to stick with. That enables him to say something that is kind of positive. Americans tend to think that freedom of speech is a good thing. And, at the same time, signal to his supremacist supporters that he's kind of, you know, he's kind of with them. This is vintage Trump.
