On Wednesday morning’s New Day, CNN co-host John Berman brought on political reporter Abby Phillip to hype their presidential candidate, Joe Biden. Both hacks campaigned for Biden by making him seem reasonable in comparison to President Trump and Phillip flat out lied about the presumptive Democratic nominee, claiming he was in “the middle.”
Berman initiated the partisan shilling by arguing Biden could ignore questions about his fitness for office and just coast to an easy election victory:
What strikes me, and it's been so interesting, is how much space Donald Trump is creating for Joe Biden. He's created so much space for Biden to enter so easily on so many different subjects. Take the cognitive issue right there. All Joe Biden has to do is go and hold an event and speak in complete sentences for a few minutes, and he's already surpassed the bar that Donald Trump has set. On the issue of statues, Joe Biden has a giant middle ground to take there, because the president has come out and defended every Confederate statue in the country.
This “space” for Biden that Berman referenced was entirely a creation of the media, which has criticized Trump for everything he's done while heaping praise upon Biden. No wonder Biden has had so much “space,” since liberal hacks will never call him out for his blunders because they are essentially a part of the Democratic Party, not journalists.
Throughout his presidential campaign, Biden has made many gaffes which raise fair questions about his mental state. He forgot the words to the Declaration of Independence, twice said that the long-deceased Margaret Thatcher condemned Trump, said that “poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids,” couldn't even remember the number for donating to his campaign, told an autoworker that he was “full of s***” and that he did not need an “AR-14,” said that “you ain’t black” if black Americans do not vote for him, said that coronavirus has killed 120 million Americans, and that gun violence has killed another 150 million.
However, partisan liars such as Berman will never acknowledge the legitimate questions that such blunders create because they need to make him look good so that he will win.
Phillip continued the effort to cover-up for Biden by labeling him a moderate:
And so, yeah, you're right. For -- for Biden, you know, he really doesn't have to do a whole lot. He has tried to tack to the middle as much as possible, which was, you know, maybe a little bit more difficult in the Democratic primary. But with the president in the general election tacking so far to the right on these culture war issues, making, you know, in a tweet last night issues of whether or not fair housing laws ought to be repealed, making that the core of his campaign. It is very easy for the Democratic candidate then to be somewhere in the middle, which is where Joe Biden has always believed, frankly, that the country is. So, you know, for President Trump, the question is now, will he take the advice of his own supporters and on some of these issues, let some of this sort of Confederate you know, history, sort of -- kind of -- the -- the -- the kind of re-telling of history of Confederate history, let some of that go. Let some of the mask stuff go. The president thinks that this is the best way to go, but it is clearly not expanding his support beyond his -- his right base. And it's not helping him compete with Biden in a general election.
Biden a moderate? He has been pushed to the far left by his increasingly unhinged base. Biden endorses far-left measures such as a $15 minimum wage, studying reparations for slavery, providing two years of free college, ending offshore drilling, a buyback program for assault weapons, a national firearm registry, expanding ObamaCare, DACA, and increasing wealth taxes. He also courted the support of Black Lives Matter, which is a radical, Marxist organization that is responsible for the rioting, looting, and violence in recent protests. These are not the stances of a moderate, but Phillips wants Biden to win, so she painted him as a moderate to help him do so.
And trying to imply that Trump is racist because of Confederate statues? Biden has made racially-charged remarks during his time in public office. He called the Daughters of the Confederacy “fine people” at a Senate hearing. In the late 1970s, Biden was a leading segregationist and justified it by saying that he did not want his children to grow up in a “racial jungle." He also praised ardent segregationist, George Wallace: “I think the Democratic Party could stand a liberal George Wallace — someone who’s not afraid to stand up and offend people, someone who wouldn’t pander but would say what the American people know in their gut is right.”
In 1994, he championed a crime bill through the Senate which has contributed to mass incarceration of African Americans. Biden referred to those who would be affected by his bill as "predators on our streets." Biden has also praised Robert Byrd, who was a grand wizard in the KKK. Furthermore, Biden referred to Barack Obama as “the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.” If Phillip wants to attack racism, her sights should be set on Biden.
Democratic propagandists like Berman and Phillip do not care about the facts, they only care about Biden winning the presidency.

REP. KEVIN MCCARTHY (R-CA): Wearing the mask is the best opportunity for us to keep this economy open.
