MS NOW’s Ali Velshi welcomed Indivisible co-founder and co-executive director Ezra Levin to Friday’s edition of The 11th Hour to preview Saturday’s No Kings rallies and spread some conspiracy theories ahead of November’s midterm elections, which Levin argued is not between Democrats and Republicans, but democracy supporters and fascists.
Velshi began with the usual allegations of voter suppression, “So, Ezra, this is a tricky one because I don't want to tell people that you don't have a right in your state to vote on the very last day, at the very last hour, while you're still in line and not have a passport or a citizenship card with you. That is your right. But there are people working to take that away from you.”
Ali Velshi pleads with people to vote early because Trump might mess with the mailboxes or something, "I don't want to tell people that you don't have a right in your in your state to vote on the very last day, at the very last hour, while you're still in line and not have a… pic.twitter.com/wkfOGPbMkT

He then suggested, with no evidence, that the Trump administration will mess with the country’s mailboxes, “So, it just would be better if you didn't drop your ballot in the mailbox on the last day. And if you did, if you could vote earlier. It's your right to vote. And there will be people there to help you protect your right. But boy, it will be easier if everybody voted on time and in great numbers to make it too big to be rigged.”
Of course, Levin agreed. However, he also appeared to claim that anyone who will be voting Republican is a fascist:
That's exactly right. This is a tricky issue to cover, Ali. You're covering something real here because we want to be realistic about the threat, but we don't want to send the message that Trump is all powerful and that the democracy is a sham. And you shouldn't even show up because he's going to rig the whole thing. That is not true. He succeeds by spreading fear and chaos. We need to be confident, take serious the threat. But there are more of us than there are the fascist Americans in this country. That's just true. There are more of us than there are regime supporters. That's borne out by the polls and by the early voting numbers we're already seeing.
He then added, “We should confidently, joyfully, and powerfully express our voice with our vote. Do it as early as possible. But if you got to vote on Election Day, by all means, vote on Election Day and get out there and exercise that right.”
Velshi and Levin have set themselves up for a “heads I win, tails you lose” scenario. If Democrats lose, it is because Trump stole it. If Democrats win, it is because the American people love democracy so much that it is impossible to rig. They cannot imagine a scenario where there will be no shenanigans or where voters simply reject far-left Democratic candidates, because for MS NOW, election-related conspiracy theories are perfectly acceptable so long as it is liberals repeating them.

ALI VELSHI: So, Ezra, this is a tricky one because I don't want to tell people that you don't have a right in your state to vote on the very last day, at the very last hour, while you're still in line and not have a passport or a citizenship card with you. That is your right. But there are people working to take that away from you.
So, it just would be better if you didn't drop your ballot in the mailbox on the last day. And if you did, if you could vote earlier. It's your right to vote. And there will be people there to help you protect your right. But boy, it will be easier if everybody voted on time and in great numbers to make it too big to be rigged.
EZRA LEVIN: That's exactly right. This is a tricky issue to cover, Ali. You're covering something real here because we want to be realistic about the threat—
VELSHI: Right.
LEVIN: —but we don't want to send the message that Trump is all powerful and that the democracy is a sham.
