Jimmy Kimmel’s bizarre and juvenile obsession with Republicans’ penises returned to ABC on Tuesday as he continued reacting to President Trump banning CNN from the White House. Reacting to a clip of Trump interacting with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, Kimmel claimed that Trump is so fat that “You shouldn't be covering me” is what he says to his stomach when he tries to look at his penis.
Kimmel introduced the clip of Trump and Collins by declaring, “There was no pool coverage of Trump's stop at the U.N. General Assembly in New York today. But CNN was on the scene. Kaitlan Collins was invited by the U.N., which for the president this morning was an unwelcome surprise.”
In the video, Collins was one of several reporters shouting questions at Trump, but hers was not exactly a good one, “Mr. President, two-thirds of Americans—two-thirds of Americans don't think the U.S. Is winning the war with Iran. When will it end?”
As any good military planner will tell you, wars should be ended when conditions are met, not politically motivated timetables.

Nevertheless, Trump responded by claiming, “I'm surprised that CNN is here covering me.” Collins followed with, “The United Nations allowed us in, sir.”
Again, Trump responded with, “You should not be here covering me. You said you weren't going to cover me. You shouldn't be covering me.”
Kimmel returned to retort, ‘“You shouldn't be covering me’ is also what he says to his stomach when he's trying to see his penis.”
Back in August, Kimmel’s guest host, Jelly Roll, made a similar fat-penis joke. Kimmel himself also has an unhealthy fascination with conservative and Republican penises. In March 2025, he hailed a new implant developed by American, Chinese, and Japanese scientists while claiming various MAGA figures from Vice President JD Vance to Don Jr. and Eric to Elon Musk to Trump himself were excited about the development.
In 2018, Kimmel suggested cutting Brett Kavanaugh’s penis off as a compromise to allow him to be confirmed to the Supreme Court. Most infamously, also in 2018, Kimmel welcomed Stormy Daniels to choose which mushroom model best resembled Trump’s penis. However, according to Kimmel's wife, producer, and writer Molly McNearney, joking about Hillary Clinton's pantsuits is a bridge too far.
