Comedian Wanda Sykes traveled to ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday to demand that Donald Trump and Republicans “shut up” and “relax” about transgender ideology being pushed on children.
Kimmel set the table by wondering, “Of all the things Trump, like, latched on to and used during this campaign, which puzzled you? What thing puzzled you the most? I don’t even necessarily want to call them issues.”
In a word salad answer that would make even Kamala Harris cringe, Sykes replied:
Oh, god. I don't even know the most, but I mean, I know going after transgender, especially transgender kids, that was, like -- that was -- because here's the thing. You're supposed to be trying to fix the problems of America, right? So, you target a community that's less than one percent of the population, right? So, you're going after, you know, affirming care as far as, like, the sex, and it's like, ‘Okay, so, you're focusing on that, on sex changes.’ How about focusing on climate change that affects everybody? Instead of sex change, that’s like less than one percent? You know, and it’s all fear. It’s like, ‘Oh, you know, your son goes to school as a boy, comes home a girl.’ I'm like, ‘Relax, it's a man bun, shut up.’ It's a man bun. Relax.
No, it’s not just a man ban, it is several thousand school districts have a policy of hiding information from parents about how their child is identifying and scientists seeking to politicize their studies.
Moving on, Kimmel asked, “You see anything positive that came out of this? Do you have a positive spin?” After Sykes responded with silence, Kimmel continued, “I take that as a no.”
Sykes replied, “Yeah, if I were a straight white male, yeah, I'm good. I’m good, yeah.”
After affirming she has no plans to leave the country, Sykes added, “No, and here's the thing. I tell you right now, black people, black women, black women ain't having it right now, okay? So, black women, give them a break right now, all right? We just chilling right now. So, don't ask us dumb questions and stuff. Don't be -- with them puppy dog eyes, be like, ‘Oh, I’m sorry.’ You will get [bleep] slapped out of you, I'll tell you right now. We just -- black women, Jimmy, black women are taking a break. Hell, I shouldn't even be here right now. My ass should be home in my house shoes with a bonnet on my head.
Sykes and Kimmel have apparently learned nothing from the election. The American people do not want more left-wing culture warring and racial identity politics, but some people will never learn.

JIMMY KIMMEL: Of all the things Trump, like, latched on to and used during this campaign, which puzzled you? What thing puzzled you the most? I don’t even necessarily want to call them issues.
WANDA SYKES: Oh, god. I don't even know the most, but I mean, I know going after transgender, especially transgender kids, that was, like -- that was -- because here's the thing. You're supposed to be trying to fix the problems of America, right? So, you target a community that's less than one percent of the population, right? It’s like, “Oh, you know, your son goes to school as a boy, comes home a girl.” I'm like, “Relax, it's a man bun, shut up.” It's a man bun. Relax.
KIMMEL: You see anything positive that came out of this? Do you have a positive spin? I take that as a no.
SYKES: Yeah, if I were a straight white male, yeah, I'm good. I’m good, yeah.
KIMMEL: Your wife is French. Your wife is from France—
SYKES: Right.
KIMMEL: -- and has citizenship there. Do you have citizenship there?
SYKES: No, I do not have citizenship in France.
KIMMEL: So that's not like your, kind of, backup plan, you might move, leave the country?
SYKES: My ancestors have got too much blood in this land, I ain't going nowhere.
KIMMEL: Good.
SYKES: No, and here's the thing. I tell you right now, black people, black women, black women ain't having it right now, okay? So, black women, give them a break right now, all right? We just chilling right now. So, don't ask us dumb questions and stuff.
