ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel stooped even lower in his Supreme Court confirmation hearing analysis on his Monday show as he accused Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn of trying to set women "back 50 years" while also going after her looks.
Kimmel has not been a fan of Republicans asking nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to define the word “woman.” Continuing with this theme while introducing a clip of Blackburn, Kimmel dismissed the whole idea as unimportant:
Throughout the hearings Republicans have been trying to paint her as soft on crime and woke, irreparably woke. None more so than Senator Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee. She's the one who asked the judge to define the word “woman.” She was very proud of herself for that one and weighed in on this important non-issue again this afternoon.
The clip that purportedly showed Blackburn making a big deal out of a “non-issue” actually showed her articulating why words and their definitions matter, “In the time since Judge Jackson sat before this committee, Disney has eliminated saying boys and girls. The State Department announced you can select ‘X’ as a gender on your passport. The left has slowly but surely stripped words of their meaning in an attempt to eliminate dissent. And the latest victim of this campaign is the word 'woman.'"
After the clip, Kimmel offered up his own definition, “Yeah, you know the people I'm trying to set back 50 years? Those are the victims of this campaign. Maybe less worried about the word 'woman' and pay more attention to the people who are them. I don't know.”
Kimmel concluded his attacks on Blackburn by insulting her physical appearance, “And also you might want to think about a little dry shampoo in that hair.”
Years before hosting the ABC late night show, Jimmy Kimmel used to host Comedy Central's The Man Show with “Girls on Trampolines,” and has no problem redefining “woman” to meet his political agenda. Marsha Blackburn is an elected senator who sees that. So, who exactly is setting women back 50 years?

JIMMY KIMMEL: Meanwhile in Washington, Judge Ketanji Brown could and should be confirmed to the Supreme Court by the end of this week. She’s made it out of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and now advances to the Sweet Sixteen or maybe I've been watching too much basketball, I don't know. Throughout the hearings Republicans have been trying to paint her as soft on crime and woke, irreparably woke. None more so than Senator Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee. She's the one who asked the judge to define the word "woman." She was very proud of herself for that one and weighed in on this important non-issue again this afternoon.
