Have you heard about the 7-figure cash payments coming from China to the Biden Family? Not if you rely on Telemundo or Univision for the news.
In fact, the only Spanish-language media that spent any time on the subject was CNN En Español, whose viewership is a distant third place behind the above mentioned networks. And, from listening to their version of the events, the Bidens´ shady business dealings as uncovered by the House Oversight Committee earlier this month, are nothing compared to “what Donald Trump did while in the White House.”
Watch how the only report aired by the Spanish-speaking media on the subject, has CNNEE anchor Juan Carlos López and Washington, D.C. correspondent Ione Molinares, twisting a report about Chinese payouts to the Biden family for at least “$1.3 million dollars in three months”, into “what former President Donald Trump did when he was in the White House”- i.e., allegedly keeping gifts from foreign dignitaries valued at $300K, including a dagger, swords and a portrait of himself.

JUAN CARLOS LÓPEZ: Let's start with the favorite topic of conservatives and the most radical wing of the Republican Party. President Biden's son, Hunter Biden.
IONE MOLINARES: The Republicans on the Government Oversight Committee are hell-bent on showing that President Biden has had, in fact, some questionable business dealings and a business relationship with China. Well, there is a memo that has just been released by the leader of the Oversight Committee, James Comer, and the Republican says in this memo that he is, that they have everything, the details of how the Biden family received more than a million dollars in three months from a partner, the money coming from China, from a Chinese company.

And all the information was provided by Comer, James Comer, the chairman of the Commission, after having subpoenaed Bank of America and requested that they hand over bank records of the Biden family. They want to know why the Bidens were getting so much money from China.

But, the Democrats, what they ask the Republican majority, the Commission, is why not look at what happened ... what former President Donald Trump did when he was in the White House. And today they published a report in which they indicate that the Trump family didn´t report almost $300,000 dollars in gifts from foreign governments between 2017 and 2020.

This CNNEE report, aside from evidently parroting the White House talking points, sadly leaves viewers with a bad aftertaste from the contempt shown by both López and Molinares towards the millions of Republican voters that the CNNEE two insist on portraying as the enemy of the People.
Let this also serve as a reminder that CNN En Español thought that the New York Post’s story on the Hunter Biden laptop was “slanderous”. Despite ample verification of the contents of the laptop, they have not yet retracted their coverage.
