On March 10th, Univision’s evening newscast Biden’s unhinged response against an automotive worker during his visit to Michigan. While the vulgar language covered by the Democratic nominee was shown, the key feature in which Biden threatened to slap the worker along with calling him a “horse’s a**” was completely ignored.
Below is Univision’s coverage, in which they depict Biden’s reaction to a union worker who strongly challenges his gun control proposals as a one time occasion in which the Democratic candidate lost his temper.
Ilia Calderon: Joe Biden toured an automobile plant in Michigan and had a harsh encounter with a worker who accused him of wanting to take guns away from Americans, Biden denied, it but his reaction started out like this:
Worker: You are actively trying to diminish our second amendment rights and take away our guns
Biden: You’re full of s***, I support the second amendment. I have a 20 gauge a 12 gauge
Worker: You and Beto said you were going to take away our guns
Biden: I did not say that, that’s not true I did not say that
Calderon: On his website, Biden’s campaign makes clear that he is only trying to ban the manufacturing and sale of assault weapons, and the sale of weapons and ammunition from the internet- in addition to requiring background checks for the sales of all firearms.
As was mentioned before, the reality was much more aggressive. As you watch Joe Biden openly threaten to slap the voter, claim he did not work for him, tell him not to be a “horse a**”, and shush his female staffer; as this is all going down, ask yourselves: How would Univision have covered this if Biden were a Republican?
Worker: All these Union workers that have been working countless hours under the Trump administration. I would like you to explain how you plan to not only keep us working, but how you intend to keep the union vote when there's a large portion of the union workers that are gun enthusiasts and you are actively trying to diminish the second amendment rights and take away our guns.
Biden: You’re full of shit
Female aid: alright thank you guys
Biden: shush… shush… I support the second amendment. The second amendment just like right now if you yell fire, that’s not free speech. And from the very beginning I have a shotgun. I have a 20 gauge, a 12 gauge, my son’s hunt and guess what? You’re not allowed to own any weapon, I’m not taking your gun away at all, you need 100 rounds?
Worker: You were with Beto when you said you were going to take away our guns.
Biden: I did not say that, that’s not, I did not say that.
Worker: it was a viral video.
Biden: It was a viral video like the other ones they are putting out , but it’s simply a lie.
Worker: It was you’re voice, you said that you were taking our guns away
Worker 2: He just clarified it
Biden: wait wait wait wait wait I’d take your AR 14
Worker: This is not okay alright
Biden: Don’t tell me that pal or I’m going to go outside with your a**
Worker 1: You’re working for me man
Biden: I'm not working for you, give me a break don’t be such a “horse a**” Look here’s the deal, are you able to own a machine gun?
Worker 1: Do I own a machine gun?
Biden: I said are you able to own one?
Worker 1: Machine guns are illegal
Biden: That’s right, so are AR- 15 illegal?
Worker 1: How is that a machine gun?
Biden:No it's not, do you need 100 rounds? Do you need 100 rounds?
Worker 1: There are more deaths in America from handguns then there are what you call ‘assault’ weapons. Why are you advocating for assault rifles when there are more people dying from handguns?
Note that this is not the first time we’ve exposed a Democratic politician violently threatening individuals: the first time being when Chuck Schumer threatened Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, stating that “they will pay the price.” Perhaps this is a rollout of a new strategy used to try to defeat President Donald Trump for the 2020 Presidential elections… to intimidate them?
It is sad to think that the most watched news network in the Spanish-speaking community would exclude such major details from its coverage of someone who is trying to become the leader of the free world. It goes without saying that such willful silence is the reason viewers are searching for alternatives elsewhere, rather than trusting media in their own language.
