Kayleigh McEnany Recounts ‘Difficult’ Mastectomy: Something Kids Shouldn’t Get

While hosting Fox News Tonight on Monday, former Trump White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany talked about her life-changing decision to get a mastectomy as a preventative measure and warned against leftists' attempts to legalize these procedures for “transgender” kids.

In 2018, McEnany followed in her mother's footsteps and underwent a double mastectomy after finding out she had an 84% chance of developing breast cancer. McEnany called her procedure “life-altering” in a good way, as it helped prevent her from getting the disease.

“It’s permanent and cannot be undone. It is emotional,” she said, recounting how emotional and scared she felt.

But while McEnany’s mastectomy potentially helped to save her life, some people are allowing and even encouraging children to have these same elective surgeries done simply to fulfill a delusion.

Referencing Texas Senate Bill 14, which prevents doctors from performing non-medically indicated surgeries on kids to "affirm" their "gender identities," McEnany stated, “The rights of transgender people — that is not what this is about at all. We are talking about children — children having life-changing operations that are irreversible.”

McEnany also brought up Washington State, which is now allowing children to receive “treatments” and “procedures” for their “transgenderism” without parental consent.

“The decision to have a mastectomy is a difficult one, not to be taken lightly and not to be made by an innocent child in the firm grasp of state government,” she added. “No liberal state should sanction my child losing a piece of herself and yet that’s exactly what Democrats are enabling.”

McEnany also brought up the case of a medical center in central Texas that was caught performing medical "transition" procedures on children as young as eight years old without parental consent, adding that some states are still pushing for this to be legal even though 68% of Americans say they're against puberty blockers for kids aged 10-14.

It feels like we are living in a dystopian universe when we consider the fact that there are states, people, and organizations taking every effort they can to harm children. "Gender-affirming care" is the furthest thing from care that there is and aside from ruining lives and damaging health of patients, it allows them to believe a lie about science, themselves and reality.
