Earlier this week wintry storms hit the southern part of the United States and so far, more than 20 people have died and 4.1 million people are left without power. This storm is a natural occurrence and everyone knows that ... except everybody’s favorite pagan Bette Midler who thinks it's some sort of retribution from God.
Apparently Midler is so close to God she knows exactly who’s on His naughty and nice list. According to her, since Sens. Ted Cruz and John Cornyn (R-TX) have not accepted Joe Biden’s win, God wanted to punish the state they represent, Texas.
In a Feb. 16 tweet calling them "Hateful", "Vicious", "Cruel", Midler wrote, “#God doesn't seem to like #TedCruz or #JohnCornyn. These two also never recognized that #Joe won. If this isn't payback, I don't know what is.”
"Inept" is the wrong word. "Hateful", "Vicious", "Cruel" might all apply. I feel for the people suffering thru this weather, but #God doesn't seem to like #TedCruz or #JohnCornyn. These two also never recognized that #Joe won. If this isn't payback, I don't know what is. https://t.co/58nrn22cxF

Midler’s tweet was a response to user Dan Holo’s tweet which read, “Lol wait...Republican Texas is asking for disaster relief after a snow storm, but both their Senators voted against giving relief for Hurricane Sandy? Cornyn and Cruz might be the most inept Senators in the country at this point.”
Seven minutes after her first tweet, Midler quoted a New York Times article without attribution and said: “'But as climate change accelerates, many electric grids will face extreme weather events that go far beyond the historical conditions those systems were designed for, putting them at risk of catastrophic failure.' Like #AlGore didn't tell you this 30 years ago.”

It’s disconcerting that this type of behavior is common among leftists. The storm that hit Texas had nothing to do with politics or mother gaia. But, Tinseltown village idiots love jabbing the right however they can … even if it means telling conservative Texans they deserve to freeze in an ice storm.
This isn’t the first time Midler claimed natural events were a form of punishment. Back in 2019 during Hurricane Dorian she tweeted: “Hurricanes stronger, waters higher; Nature is taking her revenge. The devastation is extraordinary. We stand in solidarity with the victims of Dorian, knowing that our time is coming soon.” Nature is taking her revenge? What the heck?

Does she really think this is payback from the man upstairs or mother earth? Yikes.
People are dying and all Bette cares about is alluding to the storm being “God’s” retribution for Cruz and Cornyn. Midler is the queen of hate and evil. Even her Twitter bio says “The People’s Diva…”
Where’s the compassion, Bette? What are you planning to do to help?
