Unwatchable: Player Says Kneeling Will be Widespread When NFL Starts

Ah, progress! Drew Brees is the most hated man in sports for saying that he didn’t believe in taking a knee during the national anthem. Roger Goodell issued some mealy mouthed “apology” for “not listening to NFL players earlier.” Now veteran running back Adrian Petersen is predicting widespread kneeling when the NFL season begins.

“Just four years ago, you're seeing (Colin) Kaepernick taking a knee, and now we're all getting ready to take a knee together going into this season, without a doubt,” a CBS report says Peterson told the Houston Chronicle

“We've got to put the effort in as a group collectively,” he said. “Are they going to try to punish us all? If not, playing football is going to help us save lives and change things, then that's what it needs to be.”

So we’ve got that to look forward to. Goodell hasn’t said whether teams would be issued cops-as-pigs socks or pro-Castro warm-up wear. But would you be surprised?
