Rogan Defends Chris Pratt From Cancel Culture: They Hate Him Because He’s ‘Christian’

Podcaster of podcasters, Joe Rogan has noticed that Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt has been receiving plenty of bullying online as social media users are trying to cancel him.

Recently, Rogan surmised that the persecution is about Pratt being a man that has faith in Jesus Christ and who “likes to be a good person.”

The topic came up in a recent Rogan podcast which featured guest digital artist Mike "Beeple" Winkelmann. Both of them began talking about the cancel culture and how famous people in Hollywood for example will not publicly disagree with the community’s woke values because they don’t want to be written off as crazy and then blacklisted.

“They’re terrified that if they step outside the lines, they’ll be – ‘Oh he’s another Scott Baio, or something,’” Rogan said, illustrating that petty Hollywood residents would tag any non-far left person in their community as a right-wing nut job. Not that conservative actor Scott Baio, or others like Jon Voight are nut jobs, but they’ve been stigmatized as undesirables in their industry for their beliefs.

To illustrate how extreme this cancel culture has become, Rogan brought up Hollywood megastar Chris Pratt and how even he gets heat all the time even though he’s a good guy.  They try to cancel him because he is a Christian and has integrity.

Rogan stated, “Even Chris Pratt gets in trouble because he’s Christian.”

Of course, lefty Twitter users would undoubtedly respond to Rogan’s assessment with typed up (in all caps of course) counterpoints about how Pratt is so “problematic.” For instance, the last time Pratt had to weather this cancel culture storm was when he thanked his second wife for their “healthy” child.

Social media users pounced on him immediately, accusing him of slighting his first wife, whose child with the Marvel star was born with several health issues. The intensity of the mob’s hatred seemed to indicate a thirst to destroy Pratt that was not warranted by his statement.

Rogan doesn’t get it either. He told his guest, “He is the nicest fucking guy I’ve ever met in my entire life. I mean I’ve met people equally nice.” He then characterized the people attacking the actor as “insane people that hate their job...when their boss isn't looking they're tweeting bad things about Chris Pratt.”

Yeah that probably sums up most of the people who launch these social media crusades against their political enemies.

Rogan then added that this mob just hates Pratt’s ideology because it’s “outside of the lines” of theirs. “He's kind of outside of the lines in terms of his ideology, he's a Christian, and pretty open about it, and because of that, they attack him,” he stated, adding that Pratt “just believes in Jesus and he likes to be a good person, and they're like 'fuck him!'”

It is sad, but on a positive note, at least Rogan is seeing the goodness in Pratt’s Christianity and is now fighting to defend his religious freedom. Chris’ Christlike example may not be winning over the Twitter harpies but it sure has made an impression on Rogan, who typically eschews religion.
