Alex Soros’ leftist feeding trough Open Society Foundations has announced a massive flood of support for radical leftist causes in order to mobilize youth organizations ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
The Open Society Foundations will spend $50 million to “increase civic engagement” among young people over the next three years, purportedly to “support democracy,” as reported by an Oct. 6 article by The Associated Press and a press release from the infamous leftist non-profit. Alex Soros laughably referred to his spending as a “$50 million investment to boost nonpartisan civic engagement among women and young people,” but spent his press release smearing former President Donald Trump and state election laws, while complaining about efforts to protect the lives of babies. The Associated Press also shreds this obvious fiction, reporting: “The new Open Society commitment will support nonprofits working on a wide range of issues impacting these groups, including reproductive justice, climate change, voting and gun safety.”
Soros chose a number of unsavory “civic engagement” partners to receive this money, including Planned Parenthood. Notably, Planned Parenthood killed 374,155 babies from 2020 to 2021 alone, a small fraction of the millions of deaths at Planned Parenthood. Since 2016, the Open Society Foundation has given $6,086,040 to the International Planned Parenthood Federation and $16,650,000 to Planned Parenthood Action. This does not include $250,000 for Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates which used the name “Protect Kentucky Access,” to fight a 2022 Pro-Life referendum in Kentucky.
George Soros’ son has also promised money to the leftist organization “Run for Something” which offers this extremely partisan qualification for its candidates: “We help people who are pro-choice, pro-universal health care, pro-LGBTQ equality, pro-criminal justice reform.” This paragraph goes on to list other issues such as “climate change.” The Open Society Foundation gave $500,000 to the “Run for Something Action Fund in 2022.
A third organization benefiting from the $50 million is the “Alliance for Youth Action.” This organization advertises its support for “Restorative Justice,” “Economic Justice,” “Climate Justice” and “personal bodily autonomy,” among other misleading euphemisms for radical progressive positions. In an endorsement of the group, news outlet LGBTQ Nation, still used euphemisms, but made the group’s partisan nature more obvious: “Not only do they work on LGBTQ+ issues, the groups are also involved in the fight for reproductive justice, lead climate change activism, organize voter mobilization efforts, and actively work to uplift the voices of BIPOC and trans youth.”
A fourth group, “Power Rising” featured perennial Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams at its 2019 Summit and then-Democratic Vice Presidential nominee President Kamala Harris at its 2020 Summit. As noted by The Associated Press, “Power Rising” is a member of the “Black Women’s Leadership Collective” also supported Biden’s nomination of now-Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court Strikingly, Brown Jackson was far too radical to define the word “woman” during her confirmation hearings, to the Court.
