George Soros did not attend the Republican Presidential Primary, but that didn’t stop DeSantis from airing out the billionaire’s dirty laundry.
Republican 2024 presidential candidates duked it out on the debate stage Wednesday, each trying to convince Americans that he or she has what it takes to resurrect the economy, fix the border crisis and can bring America forward. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis touted his record of going after George Soros for spending money to elect radical pro-crime district attorneys in Florida. "These hollowed out cities, this is a symptom of America’s decline. And one of the biggest reasons is because you have George Soros funding these radical left-wing district attorneys. They get into office and say they're not going to prosecute crimes they disagree with.”
After naming Soros, DeSantis went on, “The inmates start running the asylum. There’s one guy in this entire country that’s ever done anything about that, me. When we had two of these district attorneys in Florida elected with Soros funding who said they wouldn’t do their job.”
DeSantis was referring to Monique Worrell, who he suspended on August 9th, 2023, and Andrew Warren, who was suspended in 2022. Warren got unceremoniously thrown out for signing a pledge to not enforce laws he didn’t support, particularly laws related to abortion and “trans” surgeries. Meanwhile, DeSantis said that Worrell “has authorized or allowed practices or policies that have systematically permitted violent offenders, drug traffickers, serious-juvenile offenders, and pedophiles to evade incarceration, when otherwise warranted under Florida law,” among other things.
DeSantis summed up his response quickly, “I removed them from their posts. They are gone.”
George Soros has admitted to supporting what he calls “prosecutors who support reform.” The Capital Research Center documented thirty of these radical leftist public officials, including infamous names like Alvin Bragg, Kim Foxx, George Gascon, Larry Krasner, Kimberly Gardner, and recently deposed Monique Worrell. Soros has invested $32 billion into his Open Society Foundation and has used this money to support a wide array of leftist causes, including undermining America’s public safety through officials like Monique Worrell.
