Five years ago on Wednesday, the British people shocked the liberal media and the political establishment by voting to leave the European Union. It wasn’t just outlets like the BBC in Britain that promoted panic over the decision of June 23, 2016. American networks freaked out and predicted doom. They were all wrong.

One way in which journalists try and terrify viewers into endorsing every expensive environmental prescription is to constantly – and wrongly – predict the apocalypse is just around the corner. Fifteen years ago this week, the not-yet-disgraced Matt Lauer did exactly that with a two hour special outsourced to the SyFy Channel: “Countdown to Doomsday.”

Given how the mainstream media ping pongs back and forth from loving presidents to loathing them, depending if they are Democrats or Republicans, it takes a lot to shock us. But it’s been 12 years today since an MSNBC analyst declared Barack Obama “sort of God.” 

This week, “journalist” Martin Bashir came under new scrutiny for decades-old sketchy actions when the BBC revealed he faked bank statements in order to secure an interview in 1995 with Princess Diana. This is the same Bashir who, on November 15, 2013, in a vulgar, hateful attack on Sarah Palin, he suggested someone “s-h-i-t” in the Republican’s mouth.

It’s been less than nine months since the world lost Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman after he passed away from colon cancer. With all the negativity and anger coming out of Hollywood, it’s a good time to look back at a mega movie star whose whole life demonstrated positivity.

This week, late night “comedian” Samantha Bee said the loud part quiet and admitted that she has, and will for the next four years, pull her punches on Joe Biden. One doesn’t have to go far in history to find out just how much of a hack Bee truly is. In April of 2017, four years ago this week, the host appeared at the “Women in the World” conference. This week, an attempt by CBS’s 60 Minutes to destroy Ron DeSantis blew up as more details emerged over just how shoddy the network’s reporting was. Without evidence, 60 Minutes tried to suggest the Florida Republican Governor operated a pay to play scheme with a supermarket chain on vaccine distribution.

MSNBC this week just gave a daytime hosting slot to a journalist who once slimed the late Chris Kyle, the real American Sniper, as a “racist” fond of “killing sprees” while serving in Iraq.
