There’s a new aspect of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump that Univision anchor Jorge Ramos finds deplorable. 

In what is clear reversion to form, Univision has chosen to air one-sided coverage that could best be described as Islamist apologia. The most recent instance comes in the wake of the terrorist attack at a shopping center in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

The last time we examined the structural changes at Univision, we looked at the internal pressures faced by the network as it tries to capture a larger share of the Millenial audience and expand its digital footprint- while still depending heavily on Spanish-language entertainment for ratings and revenue. Early signs point to a crackup.

Tuesday's edition of Noticiero Univision reminds us that there are other issues for which the network will take an activist stance beyond immigration. And gun control is at the very top of that list.
