Friday night, Last Man Standing aired a new episode titled “Arrest Her Development.” The episode focused, in part, on Mike’s (Tim Allen) liberal son in law, Ryan (Jordan Masterson); however, tonight he wasn’t so liberal. To Mike’s surprise, Ryan was going about his marijuana business in a capitalist way.

Network television show writers are nothing if not predictable. It seems it is impossible to write an episode of primetime programming without reverting to far right stereotypes in order to portray white men as violent, hateful bigots.

It’s no surprise that a young Sheldon would go through great lengths to prove he was right, or that an adult Sheldon would think fondly of the memory. However, the February 21 episode of Young Sheldon, “A Loaf of Bread and a Grand Old Flag," took it to the next level with Sheldon supporting communism.

Freeform’s comedy grown-ish, a spinoff of ABC’s black-ish, surprisingly poked a little fun at gender identity and queer performance art on Wednesday’s episode, “Body Count,” with one character remarking, “I have no idea what you people are saying,” as his lesbian friend tries to insult him by calling him privileged, cisgendered, and heteronormative.

To watch network television these days, a viewer would think that angry, violent white nationalists are lurking everywhere. It’s certainly a narrative that Hollywood pushes in Trump’s America. The latest fictional hate crime to take place in Chicago occurs in the February 20 episode of Chicago Med titled “We Hold These Truths.”

TBS’s new comedy Miracle Workers sank even lower in its anti-religious bigotry in just its second episode Tuesday night, “13 Days.” The episode features clips of comedian Bill Maher mocking religion and God, as he so often does, which leads God (Steve Buscemi) to pretend it doesn’t hurt His feelings. In the February 19 episode of Freeform’s Good Trouble, “Swipe Right,” one of the ladies living in the Coderie celebrates having her first threesome by bragging to all her friends. Proven Innocent, the latest Fox drama, aired its Pilot episode on February 15. The basic premise of the show seems edgy and clever, but it quickly devolves into the usual tired and worn SJW tropes.

Family Guy did not have the same sharp, politically incorrect tinge which has made the show so well-known on Sunday night during its transgender episode titled, "Trans-Fat." This comes on the heels of the announcement last month that Family Guy would no longer be making gay jokes--even though they are willing to joke about a wide array of other taboo topics.  

NBC’s The Blacklist has already shown us its view of how little facts matter in the world today. I guess it’s no surprise then that they fill in the gaps with their own narrative. The latest example is appealing to illegal immigrant supporters by literally pandering to them in action.

Thursday night, A Million Little Things returned—and so did the gay agenda for children. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the episode “The Rock,” featured young Danny going on his first date—with a boy. We already knew from one of the first episodes that Danny (Chance Hurstfield) is attracted to other boys—something his family has unquestioningly encouraged.

Well, we can’t say we weren’t warned. Freeform’s mermaid series Siren finally made good on its promise to create a polyamorous relationship between its three main characters, one man, one woman and one mermaid. The innocent event of a parade was used to spout anti-gun dialogue because, if you listen to the doctors on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, random gunfire is everywhere and no one is able to avoid being a victim.

If the approximately 5,892,643 other attempts by Hollywood to mock and criticize God, TBS’s new comedy Miracle Workers has just given us one more vehicle that does just that. Though there is no mention of Jesus yet, the Christian/Jewish God of The Bible is definitely the target, according to a Vanity Fair article titled, “How Miracle Workers Turns Heaven into a Corporate Hell.”
