Anyone still doubting that the weekend’s “no quarter” narrative against Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is part of the “Don’t Give Up the Ship” operation launched with what is now known as the “Seditious Six” video, can doubt no more. The ABC, CBS and NBC evening news shows had the audacity to dedicate segments to the weather without mentioning that the hurricane “stormpocalypse” the media prophesied would happen this year never materialized.

Remember how the media were adamant that the U.S. was due for a climate change-caused deluge of catastrophic hurricanes this year? Well, as the Al Gore effect goes: it never happened.

Since a July 7 Justice Department memo declared an “exhaustive review” of the Jeffrey Epstein case found he died by suicide and there was no evidence of a “client list,” ABC, CBS, and NBC have treated the so-called “Epstein Files” as the new Russiagate, submerging President Trump with a stunning 821 minutes of coverage on ABC, CBS, and NBC.

The statement sought by CBS News and provided by the Department of Homeland Security completely undermined the report on a Chicago ICE arrest that ran on the Evening News. But the network ran the report nonetheless, burying the DHS’s statement at the end of the report.

Wednesday was a grim day at CBS News as reportedly around 100 people were axed as part of wider layoffs numbering 2,000 people across its parent company Paramount Skydance. The ranks of those let go were vast and deep with both remaining CBS Saturday Morning hosts shown the door, correspondents with decades of experience (and all women), and even two entire shows.

With all the media banter surrounding the ongoing government shutdown, ABC, CBS and PBS NewsHour seem to have conveniently forgotten that the national debt was even a major issue in this whole mess. Perhaps by emphasizing the multitrillion-dollar debt at all, the networks would be putting the Democrats in the hot seat for continuing to drag their feet on the negotiations.

The news that the horrific Palisades Fire in Los Angeles was probably caused by an arsonist completely retconned much of the media climate change dramaticism tied to the disaster. But the evening broadcast networks took it a step further and buried news that the accused arsonist is an eco-extremist.

This one particularly pompous and lacking self-awareness, but perhaps mindful that there are only so many of these left before Bari Weiss fully takes over as Editor-in-Chief of CBS News.

In so doing, they are turning their focus on the holdout affiliate groups still refusing to air Kimmel unless he can show proof of human decency.
