When Univision decided to rehire Daniel Coronell as president of Univision’s news division, we harshly criticized the move as the dog returning to its vomit. It appears that the dog has decided to vomit again.

As we’ve often exposed here at MRC Latino, the last decade of Univision’s news coverage has been driven by reflexive opposition to Donald Trump and by Latino identity politics. A recent news report engages in both while casting a soft spotlight on one New York Mayor-Elect Zohran Mamdani’s transition chairs.

The Elitist Media is still abuzz about the recent meeting between President Donald Trump and New York Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani and subsequent Oval Office presser. Contrary to expectations and hype, the tone was cordial and light.

NBC’s immigration roundup from Charlotte, North Carolina is notable for what it shows, and what it doesn’t show. The report by Julia Ainsley cobbles together several victim stories and, most notably, promotes an ICE-spotting seminar at a local church.

Those who depend on Elitist Media network news for information may have never heard of the scandal currently roiling the House Democratic caucus, involving efforts to impose accountability after a shady succession scandal. And this was made possible, in part, due to the networks’ overload on Jeffrey Epstein slop coverage.

Bombshell reporting blew a massive hole in what was previously known to be the historical record regarding the failed attempted assassin of President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. And, as is sadly often the case, the Elitist Media were nowhere to be seen on these new developments.

Right on cue, as the last embers of the government shutdown fade away and the Epstein Files matter appears to come to a conclusion with a vote on the House floor, the most viscerally anti-Trump of the Elitist Media nightly newscasts reverts to an old reliable story. Like a dog returning to its vomit, ABC World News Tonight returns to reporting White House ballroom brain rot.

The Elitist Media’s Sunday shows all ran with a significant chunk of Jeffrey Epstein slop as this week’s top story, a pivot we saw happen in real time in the aftermath of the end of the Democrat-instigated-and-prolonged government shutdown. And in midst of all that coverage was a significant and predictable omission.

After 43 days, the longest-ever government shutdown has mercifully come to a close. But ABC’s World News Tonight appears to have been vested in the shutdown dragging on indefinitely, judging by their latest report on the shutdown’s aftermath.

The Elitist Media were desperate to find an offramp as the government shutdown drew to a close. And they did, pivoting back to an old favorite but with a new, salacious angle.
