Journalist Jon Karl fretted that a “hard-line” conservative will be coming. Dan Harris wondered if moderate Republicans might rise up to stop a new conservative nominee.

It was a huge win for the First Amendment and for the pro-life movement. The Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday in NIFLA v. Becarra that California cannot mandate that pro-life crisis pregnancy centers give out abortion information at their clinics. Once again, all eyes will be on the Supreme Court Wednesday morning to see if Justice Anthony Kennedy will retire. This is becoming an annual ritual of spring and summer as liberals in the press beg the swing vote not to give Donald Trump a chance to nominate his replacement. On April 29, 2018, The New York Times editorial pleaded: “How can we put this the right way? Please don’t go.” 

This is what having an awful, no good, very bad day looks like. MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews unleashed two separate tirades on Tuesday against the U.S. Supreme Court and decisions of theirs he doesn’t like in light of their decision to give President Trump “[t]he Good Housekeeping seal on his campaign to divide the country and approving his travel ban crudely aimed at Muslims.”

CNN’s The Lead spent almost six minutes on Tuesday discussing the Supreme Court’s ruling on President Trump’s travel ban with Minnesota Democratic Congressman Keith Ellison, but host Jake Tapper turned the tables on Ellison by grilling him for the remaining five minutes on his ties to anti-gay, anti-Semitic, and sexist Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.

Comedians aren’t joking about the Supreme Court’s latest decision on abortion and free speech. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court decided that California can’t force pro-life pregnancy centers to advertise abortion. Justices voted 5 – 4 in the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates (NIFLA) v. Becerra case that challenged California’s 2015 FACT Act.

Within the first 90 minutes after the Supreme Court upheld President Trump’s travel ban on six countries, MSNBC brought on a total of 10 guests who condemned the high court’s decision and warned that it marked a dark day for America. One liberal pundit and politician after another were teed up to freak out over the ruling.

Liberal presidential historian and former Newsweek editor Jon Meacham was the guest at the end of Tuesday’s The View, where he fulfilled his duty in bashing President Trump in hyperbolic terms, something the anti-Trump hosts could appreciate.
