December 10th, 2013 1:04 AM
Former CBS Evening News Anchor Dan Rather, despite being fired as a result of the bogus story, continues to maintain that he got it right in September 2004 when he aired forged documents concerning George W. Bush’s record with the Air National Guard. On CNN’s Piers Morgan Live Monday, Rather said, “No question the story was true” (video follows with transcript and commentary):

November 27th, 2013 5:20 PM

Flip-Flop-Flip: NY Times Opposes Filibusters... When They Frustrate De

November 22nd, 2013 6:49 PM
"Look, folks, we love the filibuster when Democrats use it against Republicans, but really hate it when Republicans use it against Democrats." If the New York Times editorial board were completely honest, that's exactly what they'd admit in print to their readers. Instead the Gray Lady keeps shifting her point of view on the parliamentary maneuver depending on whose ox is gored. On January 1…

November 21st, 2013 3:17 PM
On Wednesday's The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell, MSNBC.com Executive Editor Richard Wolffe credited Hillary Clinton with a "monumental effort" in "recovering from" the Bush administration's alleged mistakes as he responded to conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer's assertion that the former Secretary of State had no significant accomplishments she could point to in a presidential run…

Appearing on Tuesday's Tonight Show, former President George W. Bush got a laugh from the audience with this one-liner: "We've always had such great relations with NBC." Host Jay Leno added to the joke by taking his own shot at the network: "I'm glad one of us has." [Listen to the audio or watch the video after the jump] The brief exchange was prompted by Leno asking the former commander-in-…

November 16th, 2013 2:48 PM
As NewsBusters reported, former Florida governor Jeb Bush pounded public school activist Matt Damon in August for putting his kids in private school. Damon gave CNN's Jake Tapper a rather lame excuse for this in an online segment of their interview Friday while claiming, "I'd eat my shoe if he could name a Bush that ever even walked into a public school" (video follows with transcript and…

Comparing NYT Positions on Obama's False 'You Can Keep Your Plan-Docto

November 14th, 2013 4:38 PM
A commenter at my post yesterday ("TomsonaNonGrata") about how a pair of New York Times reporters characterized President Barack Obama's false guarantee to Americans that "If you like your plan-doctor-provider, you can keep your plan-doctor-provider" as an "incorrect promise" — because they couldn't work up the nerve to call it a lie — noted that "All these people (in the press) that were so…

Ted Cruz, a GOP senator from Texas who tried to filibuster the…

Dan Rather Whines to AP About Being Excluded from CBS JFK Specials

November 5th, 2013 11:30 AM
AP media reporter David Bauder seems shocked that CBS would exclude Dan Rather from their gaudy 50th anniversary coverage of JFK’s assassination, “further proof of the lingering bitterness following Rather's messy exit and subsequent lawsuit against the network.” The same man who thinks he’s never been wrong about the phony documents he launched against George W. Bush announced "I held off…

Bill Press's Lame Spin on Obamacare Debacle - Bush Lied, People Died

November 1st, 2013 7:45 PM
Liberals really ought to thank the heavens above for George W. Bush, he comes in so handy for them. Whenever anything goes wrong in their hermetically-sealed reality, as everything connected to them eventually does, their Pavlovian response is to misdirect attention toward Bush. Latest example -- rollout of the misnomer of a track wreck known as the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare, which…

October 31st, 2013 2:42 PM
In a Hollywood Reporter roundtable of Oscar-contending actors, Josh Brolin said at first he rejected the idea of playing George W. Bush for Oliver Stone: “Why the f— would I want to do that?” Now, “I’m so happy I did that movie.” But did you ever meet Bush? Brolin shot back: "No, no. No interest.” It began when actor Michael B. Jordan (now in “Fruitvale Station”) asked the other actors, “Do…
