During Wednesday’s edition of The Lead, the panel found itself in a little bit of shock after learning that President Trump had revoked the security clearance of former CIA Director John Brennan, who has previously called President Trump treasonous in his new capacity as an NBC News analyst. 

In a Wednesday move that was both praised and criticized, President Trump revoked the Top Secret security clearance for Obama-era CIA director and major Trump-critic John Brennan. The former spook is now an NBC News analyst, so the network didn’t take too kindly to their guy losing the mighty privilege he was granted.

If there’s one thing the media doesn’t seem to specialize in, it’s originality. They all read from the same script. On five different programs broadcast Monday and Tuesday on three different networks, the media went off the rails; repeatedly calling President Trump a dictator and in some cases comparing him to Turkish Dictator Recep Tayyip Erdogan. At least they didn’t compare him to Hitler.

Republican Sen. Rand Paul sent the media into another meltdown on July 23 when he called  on President Trump to revoke the security clearance of Obama's CIA director, John Brennan. He charged Brennan "monetized" his privileges by becoming an on-air analyst for NBC and MSNBC. That doesn’t even count Brennan’s speaking fees.

Liberal ABC and NBC were in a full-blown meltdown Monday night after the White House announced the President was looking to revoke the security clearances of six former intelligence officials, whom they contend abused the privilege of retaining it after their tenure. They even tried to pretend most of the officials named weren't Obama appointees.

Since President Trump’s press conference in Helsinki on Monday, many in the liberal media have hyperventilated about how his lack of aggression toward Russian President Putin makes him somehow guilty of treason.

Impeachment seems to be on the mind of liberal historian Jon Meacham lately. In May Meacham predicted that a newly elected Democrat House will impeach President Donald Trump as a "season finale." Meacham's I-word obsession returned to Meacham on Tuesday's Morning Joe when he suggested that Trump somehow committed treason at the Helsinki Summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin. 

If you had felt that CNN would slowly run out of steam going into the afternoon hours overreacting to Monday’s bizarre and troubling Trump-Putin press conference, consider yourself sadly mistaken. Throughout the 1:00 p.m. hour, CNNers remarked that this “truly extraordinary moment in American history” was a “shocking barrage” that could warrant Trump’s impeachment.

Thursday’s Hardball featured MSNBC host Chris Matthews spending two separate segments sucking up to former Obama foreign policy and intelligence officials John Brennan and Ben Rhodes, complimenting the former for “know[ing] so much” and the latter for his “beautiful” new book defending his role in the far-left Obama legacy.
