The broadcast networks' obsession with all things Russia continues: Over the last ten days (July 9 to July 18, including weekends), the ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts have devoted nearly two hours (114 minutes) to the ongoing probe of potential 2016 collusion -- far more airtime than they devoted to any other political topic.

On Wednesday, CNN did something they would have never done to President Obama. New Day and Newsroom highlighted tweets and news reports mocking President Trump. The tweets/reports were having fun with the fact that a tropical storm was named Don. Even the Washington Post joined in. So much for respectful journalism.

It's "Made in America" week in Washington, D.C. You'd think this would be cause for bipartisan celebration. Who could be against highlighting the ingenuity, self-reliance and success of our nation's homegrown entrepreneurs and manufacturers? Enter Bill Kristol. “Too cozy,” “controversy,” “striking,” “crisis,” “startling,” those were just some of the hyperbolic terms thrown around on Wednesday’s network morning shows as hosts and correspondents panicked over news that President Trump had a casual after-dinner conversation with Vladimir Putin surrounded by dozens of other world leaders at the G20 Summit earlier this month.

Late in Tuesday’s AC360, former Republican National Committee (RNC) official and CNN political commentator Mike Shields unloaded on his fellow panelists and the news media at large for failing to connect with Americans outside the Washington D.C. area.

CNN has gone all out in defense of ObamaCare and has attacked any Republican measure to amend it. On Wednesday's New Day, virtually the entirety of the show was spent trashing Republicans. They also continuously whined about the "undisclosed" Trump-Putin meeting that took place at a dinner in front of leaders and the media. How secretive.

Pausing briefly from the press's never-ending Trump-Russia obsession, both Politico Magazine and USA Today decided earlier this week to focus on the state of President Donald Trump's health. Nothing tangible appears to have prompted either report. USA Today absurdly issued a "breaking news" alert on the topic.

Early Tuesday morning, the Trump administration issued new sanctions against well over a dozen Iranian citizens and organizations in retaliation for the county’s recent destabilizing and hostile actions in the region. It’s always nice when someone remembers your birthday, but Marc Lamont Hill -- a liberal commentator for the Cable News Network -- took the tradition in a bizarre direction on Sunday, July 16, when he commemorated the 70th birthday of Assata Shakur, a convicted murderer and known terrorist, in a series of tweets posted on the Twitter website.

On Monday’s Hardball, MSNBC host Chris Matthews and New York Times reporter Jeremy Peters decided to whitewash history and deceive viewers, painting all Republicans as unmistakably belonging to “the Putin party” dead-set on “putting their interests ahead of the country’s” (which means not joining Democrats in seeking to remove Trump from office).

On Tuesday, the hosts and correspondents of NBC’s Today could not contain their excitement as they gloated over the failure of the Republican Senate health care bill. “For seven years Republican lawmakers have vowed to overturn ObamaCare, but this morning their latest plan has come to a screeching halt,” proclaimed fill-in co-host Willie Geist.  

Could someone remind me how old President Donald Trump was at the time of the real life evacuation of Dunkirk in 1940? Oh, he still wouldn't be born for another six years? Really? However, this did not prevent Rolling Stone movie reviewer Peter Travers from invoking his name in a negative way from out of nowhere in the middle of a review of what looks to be an outstanding film, "Dunkirk."
