MSNBC Live host Stephanie Ruhle invited New York Times columnist James Stewart on her Monday show to discuss the latest controversies sourounding Attorney General Bill Barr. Among the things discussed was the letter signed by 1,100 ex-DOJ officials demanding Barr resign, two of them-- Joyce Vance and Matt Miller-- rounded out the unbalanced panel that wondered if Barr is "un-American."

On Monday, the network morning shows predictably all seized on an open letter from former Justice Department officials demanding the resignation of Attorney General William Barr. However, the broadcasts conveniently left out the fact that several of the ex-DOJ employees who signed on to the letter currently serve as professional anti-Trump pundits on CNN and MSNBC.

John Harwood joined CNN Newsroom Friday morning to engage in some cynical goalpost-shifting after Attorney General Bill Barr's Thursday interview with ABC where Barr urged President Trump to quit tweeting about controversial matters before the department.  

On Friday, NBC’s Today show couldn’t decide if Attorney General William Barr should be celebrated for his criticism of President Trump in an ABC News interview or suspected of being “in cahoots” with the President. As the broadcast hyped Barr lamenting Trump’s penchant for tweeting about ongoing Justice Department cases, the coverage repeatedly noted Democrats “not buying” the public comments.

MSNBC Live guest host Chris Jansing welcomed California Democratic Rep. Ted Lieu on her Thursday show for a softball interview where she asserted that Republicans are having a difficult time figuring out right from wrong. Towards the end of the segment, she again flunked basic civics.

On Morning Joe, Mika Brzezinski says that AG Bill Barr, by saying that some of President Trump's tweets make it impossible for Barr to do his job, is actually saying is "that these tweets make it harder for Bill Barr to help him be corrupt."

Tameka Hart, the forewoman in the federal trial against Roger Stone, was exposed on Wednesday by Daily Caller investigative reporter Chuck Ross for once being a Democratic candidate for Congress, on top of being a staunch anti-Trump opponent. While the story continued to spread online, the liberal broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) tried to hide the revelation from their viewers.

On Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough says that the families, children, and grandchildren of defenders of President Trump will be punished by history. Vengeance will be visited on the descendants of the pro-Trump sinners.

One thing historians will say about President Obama was that he had an affinity for drone warfare for the purposes of taking out terrorists. In that respect President Trump was doing the same thing when he ordered that Qasem Soleimani be taken out, but that's not how MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell saw things on her Tuesday show.  

Of all the biased hot takes to come from the media during the impeachment process, none lacked any sense of self-awareness more than the panel discussion that took place Thursday morning on CNN. On Thursday, hosts on MSNBC and CNN were thrilled by Barack Obama’s former Attorney General Eric Holder – who famously politicized the Justice Department – penning a profoundly hypocritical Washington Post op/ed in which he accused current Attorney General William Barr of being “plainly ideological” and “nakedly partisan.”

Throughout his closing argument, Monday, CNN host Chris Cuomo made a series of ridiculous statements as he pushed for impeachment. Not surprisingly, the TV personality trashed congressional Republicans who have not voted to impeach the President for “ignoring their oath.” Cuomo also attempted to accuse the GOP of acting like the “Deep State,” a concept that he would otherwise have contempt for.
