Bill Maher proved once again Friday night that there’s no floor to his indecency.
During the opening monologue of HBO’s Real Time, the host actually joked that Paul Ryan’s mother considered aborting him (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):
“Not to be outdone on the abortion issue,” Maher teased, “Paul Ryan, you know Paul Ryan, he said today, ‘We don’t want a country where abortion is simply outlawed. We want a country where it wasn’t even considered.’ Really, Paul? That’s not what your mom told me.”
So it’s acceptable to Maher to joke about a former vice presidential candidate's mother considering aborting him.
Can you imagine him or anyone else in the media making such a joke about a prominent Democrat?
Yes, that's a rhetorical question.
