Bill Maher on Monday offered $5 Million to the charity of Donald Trump’s choosing if the billionaire could prove that he wasn’t “the spawn of his mother having sex with an orangutan.”
Such happened on NBC’s Tonight Show which clearly was in on the gag (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):
During his interview with the HBO host, Jay Leno brought up Maher’s battles with Trump.
“I'm not looking for a feud with Donald Trump,” Maher responded, “and I certainly only wish the best for the syphilitic monkey who does his Twitter feed.”
After the laughter died down, Maher continued, “Well, the monkey thing, that's, see, I think that's what got him so mad is that we did a ‘New Rule’ one week that supposed that perhaps Donald Trump had been the spawn of his mother having sex with an orangutan.”
Why?
“The color of his hair,” Maher explained, “and the color of an orange orangutan is the only two things in nature of the same color.”
The following picture was put on the screen making it clear Leno and Company knew this was coming:
“I wondered what that was for today,” Leno said.
“I'm not saying it's true,” answered Maher. “I hope it's not true. But, unless he comes up with proof, I'm willing to offer $5 million to Donald Trump if he will come, that he can donate to a charity of his choice: Hair Club for Men, the Institute for Incorrigible Douchebaggery, whatever charity.”
Going to be interesting to see how Trump responds.
