Lena Dunham, famous for her awful sex scenes and pro-Obama ad which likened voting to losing your virginity is being hailed as one of Glamour magazine’s “Women of the Year.”
Glamour declared the 26 year old was “immensely likable” and a “voice of her generation.” Reporter Emma Rosenblum couldn’t quite write the story without an obsessive fangirl mentality. “She [Dunham] become one of the most powerful women in Hollywood since the April premiere of her show, which she—deep breath—created, stars in, and also directs,” Rosenblum wrote.
Critics continue to rave over Dunham’s HBO show “Girls,” known for its graphic sex and nudity, and even featured a sex scene that ABC News called “borderline date rape.”
CMI reported in June how “Girls” reveled in its moral poverty. There were scenes that were obviously intended to make the viewer as uncomfortable as possible. How else to explain multiple allusions to (and one depiction of) masturbation, and even a “golden shower?”
But the reaction to “Girls” from women is the most disturbing. Women critics salivated over the series, calling it “painfully true” because of its lefty agenda. And “Girls” did stay true to that agenda with plots where bad sex, abortions and STDs abounded.
But Dunham wasn’t finished there. In October she filmed a pro-Obama ad which marched in lock-step with the Democratic manufactured “war on women” and sexualized voting.
The ad talked about Dunham’s “first time” voting and compared voting to losing your virginity.
“You want to do it with a guy who brought the troops out of Iraq" and "You don't want a guy who says, 'Oh hey, I'm at the library studying,' when really he's out not signing the Lilly Ledbetter act," Dunham said.
Dunham closed the ad with: "My first time voting was amazing. It was this line in the sand. Before I was a girl, now I was a woman. I went to the polling station, I pulled back the curtain, I voted for Barack Obama."
Welcome to the new generation where morality doesn’t matter. If Dunham truly is the “voice of our generation” then our future looks awfully bleak.
