Glee star Jane Lynch began Comedy Central's Roseanne Barr Roast Sunday with a vulgar attack on Chick-fil-A.
Not surprisingly, the liberal crowd along with the other presenters thought this was the funniest thing they’d ever heard (video follows with transcript and commentary):
JANE LYNCH: Good evening everyone, I’m Jane Lynch. Welcome to the Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne. Oh my goodness, what a night. Roseanne, Ellen Barkin, Katey Sagal, Carrie Fisher, it’s like a menopausapalooza. This show is serving up more old spoiled hens than a Chick-fil-A. Oh, and that reminds me: F--k Chick-fil-A.
Funny stuff, huh?
Of course, Lynch is no stranger to controversy.
She attacked the Tea Party as anti-Latina while hosting the Daytime Emmys last September.
The character she plays on Glee ridiculed Sarah Palin in an April 2010 episode.
More recently it was revealed by the Media Research Center that Ryan Murphy, the creator of Glee, has a new program airing on NBC this fall depicting gay parents as "The New Normal."
We certainly aren't in Kansas anymore, are we Toto?
Readers are advised this was originally reported by NewsBusters on August 5 before the program aired and without video or full transcript.
