ABC has joined the rest of their counterparts in the Elite Media in making themselves the focus of coverage by whining about the White House media ban. But the most Trump-deranged of the network evening newscasts set the media ban aside, instead seizing an opportunity to glowingly cover America’s wartime adversary.

MARY BRUCE: Meantime, at the United Nations today, Iran's president defiant, holding up pictures of the Iranian girls killed when an American airstrike destroyed their school in the early days of the war, something the Pentagon says it's still investigating. Iran's president vowing to “never bow our head or bend at the knee,” but adding, “we are ready for dialogue and diplomacy.”
Bruce actually said this towards the end of her White House roundup, which started with President Xi Jinping’s arrival to the United States, and his presidential welcome at Joint Base Andrews. Bruce kicked the report off by contrasting the warm greeting accorded to Xi with allegations of China’s support for Iran in the war against the United States.
Bruce shifts to B-roll of President Trump praising Xi as a “great leader” during their May summit. The report then shifts to some footage of a Republican criticizing the welcome given to Xi, Senator Roger Wicker of Mississippi, who chairs the Armed Services Committee.
It should be noted that ABC often only airs Republican viewpoints when they are critical of President Trump, but not often otherwise. It is at this point that we come to the Iran portion of the program. Mary Bruce here gives the Iranian regime, currently at war against the United States, the type of framing she normally accords to Democrats.
In so doing, Bruce missed actual defiant presidential language- such as Argentina’s President Javier Milei absolutely blasting the UN:

You won’t see that clip on any of the Elitist Media evening newscasts because it doesn’t frame Trump in a negative way. In this current media environment, Trump-negative seems to be the new currency. Trump Derangement is the order of the day, even if it gives aid and comfort to America’s enemies.

It comes amid concern, even from some Republicans tonight, over President Xi and China supporting Iran in this war. Here's Mary Bruce.
MARY BRUCE: Tonight in an extraordinary gesture, President Trump and the First Lady traveling to Joint Base Andrews to personally welcome Chinese President Xi Jinping to the United States. Soldiers rolling out the red carpet, cannons assembled to fire off a salute. The president with a warm greeting, even as China supports Iran in its war against the United States, Trump has brushed off those concerns, consistently heaping praise on XI, saying this on his visit to Beijing in May.
DONALD TRUMP: Such respect for China, the job you've done, you're a great leader. I say it to everybody. You're a great leader. Sometimes people don't like me saying it, but I say it anyway because it's true. I only say the truth.
BRUCE: But with XI's arrival tonight and Trump's extraordinary greeting, the Republican chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee sounding the alarm.
ROGER WICKER: Our Commander-in-Chief should keep in mind that his guest is a brutal, unelected and oppressive dictator whose massive military arsenal is aimed directly at the United States of America.

MUIR: So let's bring in Mary Bruce live at The White House and Mary, President Trump welcoming China's leader moments ago as Iran's leader addresses the U.N. here in New York. China, of course, has supported Iran. Any indication from The White House tonight, any movement in trying to end this war?
BRUCE: Well, David, President Trump has said this war will end after the election. One big question here tonight: will Trump try to convince President Xi to pressure Iran to make a deal? And certainly another critical issue for this summit, the rapid growth of AI and whether there's room for cooperation between the U.S. and China. David.
