OMISSION: Nets Hide Guilty Plea of Man who Vandalized JD Vance’s Home

The Elitist Media Evening News continues to suppress coverage of stories that prove to be inconvenient or counter narrative. In this particular instance, there is a total blackout of the guilty plea of the Ohio man who vandalized Vice President JD Vance’s home near Cincinnati, Ohio.

For context, watch the related brief that ran on the NBC Nightly News back in January, when suspect William DeFoor had his initial court appearance, on January 6th, 2026:

TOM LLAMAS: We are back now with new details in the vandalism of Vice President JD Vance's home. The suspect, 26-year-old William DeFoor, making his first court appearance. You see him there, facing local and federal charges. His lawyer and family says he has mental health issues and was not motivated by politics. The Vice President said today his home was, quote: “attacked by a crazy person with a hammer.”

NBC were the only ones to cover the story at the time. And now, nearly eight months later, there is a critical update that has gone uncovered on the evening news. Per Fox News:

An Ohio man accused of vandalizing Vice President JD Vance’s Cincinnati home earlier this year pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday, officials said.

William D. DeFoor, 26, reportedly caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage Jan. 5 when he used a hammer to smash multiple windows at Vance’s unoccupied home.

DeFoor specifically admitted to acts of physical violence against government officials or property, as well as the willful injury or depredation of U.S. government property, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio.

His defense attorney previously said the assaults were not politically motivated and that DeFoor suffers from mental health issues. Court records show DeFoor has a history of criminal cases involving findings of mental incompetency.

The story goes on to describe the defendant’s unlawful actions, and note that he has an extensive mental health history. Unbelievably, the guilty plea of a man attempting to vandalize the Vice President’s home drew not a single mention on the Elitist Media evening news.

Viewers instead got stories on nonlethal aviation mishaps, an illegal bobcat incursion into a Washington home. The DUI plea of Tiger Woods and the NBA’s punishment of the Los Angeles Clippers for scheming to defeat the salary cap were consensus national stories that took precedence over DeFoor’s own plea.

There is continued attempted violence against this president and his administration. It would serve the Elite Media well to understand that looking the other way won’t make the story go away.
