On Thursday, the WNBA suspended Seattle Storm co-owner Celeste Keaton, banning her from attending five home games and fining her an undisclosed sum, for her actions during Tuesday's home game against Indiana, where she allegedly verbally assaulted young girls who sat courtside, holding signs and wearing shirts, in support of Indiana's Sophie Cunningham, who has spoken out against biological men playing in women's sports. One might think that this story would be widely covered, but it doesn't fit the liberal media narrative, leading many outlets to limit or skip coverage altogether.
Thursday evening, CBS was the only one of the big three networks to report on the story, and from 5 pm through 11 pm, 5 CNN shows did not touch it, while Fox News gave it extensive coverage during the same time period on 6 shows.
Following a nearly 7-minute segment on The Five, Special Report With Bret Baier, presented a package from Correspondent Garrett Tenney, which began with video of a fan who had also harassed the girls, getting screamed at by the mother of one of the girls.

GARRETT TENNEY: The WNBA Seattle Storm is under fire after a group of teenage girls was harassed at Tuesday night's game for praising star Indiana Fever player Sophie Cunningham, unabashedly stating, biological men have no place in women's sports.
And then the real shocking part.
TENNEY: But it wasn't just random fans who targeted the girls sitting courtside with their sign thanking Cunningham for taking a stand. Seattle Storm co-owner Celeste Keaton allegedly left one of those teens in tears after crossing the court to curse out the 16-year-olds calling them 'F***ing insane,' and telling them to stop pulling this explicative (S***).
GIRL WHO WAS VERBALLY ATTACKED: We sere shocked, It's disappointing, too. She is also a woman. And she just kind of cussed out two 16-year-olds.
TENNEY: Cunningham is defending the girls posting in part, "bravo to those girls for standing up for what they believe. Truly embarrassing as a co-owner." The WNBA responded by suspending Keaton from attending the next five home games and slapping her with a fine, while the Seattle Storm majority owner is apologizing for the incident, saying that fans should feel welcomed. Adding they remain committed to creating an inclusive environment where every fan is treated with respect.
The next show in the lineup was The Ingraham Angle, where Laura Ingraham made the WNBA her "Angle", but began with yet another league scandal involving a video posted and then removed by the league earlier in the week, which showed two players placing a bet on their game. This was also not news to the previously mentioned CNN shows. Ingraham then moved on to the suspension, and she weighed in, hard.
INGRAHAM: The WNBA fanatical pro-trans obsession got them in more hot water....It left one of the girls in tears.... I thought the WNBA was all about girl power....Turns out the league is only inclusive when you agree with certain causes. Like LGBTQ and, of course, Black Lives Matter. But the Sophie Cunningham fans last night, they didn't fit into either category.
Ingraham then played the video of the mother of one of the girls defending her daughter from a verbally abusive male fan, and unleashed.
INGRAHAM: Too bad a real man wasn't there to give him a talking to.... The truth is that scrawny jerk and people like Celeste Keaton hate Sophie Cunningham and Caitlin Clark because they refuse to bend at the woke altar. They're straight, they are faithful, they are stupid talented, attractive and beloved by normal Americans. It's called the WNBA. The woman's basketball association it's not the LGBTQ+LA NBA where you have to check that box to be a player or a fan.
Ingraham then continued the segment with OutKick's Dan Dakich. In all she spent some 10 and a half minutes on the WNBA. Jesse Watters Primetime used the story in his 'DEI Thursday' segment, while Hannity also covered both the gambling video and the suspension, in a 9 minute segment. Even Gutfeld provided extensive coverage of the suspension story, devoting eight minutes to it.
In all, Fox News gave this about 38 minutes of coverage from 5-11 pm, CNN, zero. Had young trans girls at a game, showing support for a player who had spoken out in favor of biological men playing in women's sports been verbally abused by a teams owner, CNN would be on it 24-7.. This is CNN!
