Bruce Springsteen’s TDS Was the Real Headliner at His DC Show

What do you get when a “No Kings” rally meets an aging, TDS-laden rock star? A sweaty Bruce “Screamsteen” delivering a teleprompter-fueled rant at Nationals Park in the nation's capital on May 27, while posing as a moral crusader. Only it was giving less, “I have a dream,” by a respected leader preaching against injustice and more, “I have a grievance list,” by a multimillionaire railing against the rich.

The entire “Land of Hope and Dreams” tour exists because Trump lives rent-free in the Boss’s head. Springsteen declared himself the “cavalry” riding to save America from “dark, disturbing and dangerous times” and a “wannabe king” who is attacking freedom, democracy and the constitution. Sure, Jan.

In DC, which was the last stop of the tour, the 76-year-old wasted no time calling Trump “racist, incompetent, and treasonous” before he even sang the first song. He later launched into a roughly six-minute rant recycling every leftist talking point.

The Supreme Court has gutted the Voting Rights Act and set back… They have gutted the Voting Rights Act and set back our historically, hard-fought-for civil rights movement. A movement for which people marched, fought and gave their lives. This is happening now. There are immigrants being held in for-profit detention centers around the country such as Delaney Hall in my own home state of New Jersey, where our own governor has been refused access to meet with detainees about the conditions there. This is happening now.

Our Justice Department has completely abdicated its independence and takes its marching orders directly from a corrupt White House. They prosecute our president’s perceived enemies, they cover up for his misdeeds, and they protect his powerful friends. The richest men in America have abandoned the world’s poorest children to death and disease through the dismantling of USAID. This is no longer on the front page, but this is happening now. We are undermining NATO and the world order that kept us safe and at global peace for 80 years.

Our museums are being told to whitewash American history of any unpleasant or inconvenient facts like the full history of the brutality of slavery. You wanna talk about snowflakes? We have a president who can’t handle the truth. We have a president who wants to create a $1.8 billion fund to compensate and reward people who attacked our nation’s Capital, attacked our democracy, assaulted our police officers on January 6. This is an American outrage, and this is happening now.

This White House is destroying the American idea and our reputation around the world. We stood as a beacon for hope, liberty and freedom around the world. An imperfect but strong defender of democracy standing for the global good. And to many, now, we are America, the reckless, unpredictable, predatory, untrustworthy, rogue nation. That is this administration and this president’s legacy, and this is happening now. Honesty, honor, humility, character, integrity, truth, compassion, humanity, thoughtfulness, morality, true strength and decency- don’t let anyone tell you these things don’t matter anymore. They do. They are at the heart of the kind of men and women we want to be. The kind of citizens we want to be, and the kind of country we want to leave for our children.

So many of our elected leaders have failed us. This American tragedy can only be stopped by the American people -- you. There is no one coming to save us. We’ve got to do it ourselves. So, join us and let’s fight for the America that we love.

You know what else is happening now, Bruce? A duly elected president has been fulfilling the promises he was elected on and rebuilding this country after it was nearly destroyed by your party.

Voting Rights Act

The Supreme Court didn’t “gut” it. It ended an outdated, race-conscious preclearance formula based on 40-year-old data. Core protections remain. Real civil rights damage came from decades of Democrat policies wrecking urban families, schools, and cities.

Detention Centers

Facilities like Delaney Hall exist because Biden-Harris allowed millions of unvetted illegals to flood the country and overwhelm our system. For-profit centers cut bureaucracy and deliver cost savings along with the best chances for ideal conditions. Enforcing the law and deporting criminals is the actual solution.

DOJ “Prosecuting Enemies”

Peak projection. After the Russia hoax, Hunter’s laptop censorship, school parents labeled terrorists, and peaceful pro-life protesters jailed while 2020 BLM and Antifa rioters got a pass, Trump’s DOJ is finally applying equal justice.

USAID & Poor Children

Auditing waste, fraud, corruption, and progressive pet projects isn’t abandoning the poor. It’s responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars. No one wants their tax money funding leftist, global grifts disguised as altruistic help for starving children.

NATO & World Order

The "world order" delivered endless wars, energy dependence on adversaries, and weakness that invited aggression. Peace comes through strength, not virtue-signaling alliances that hollow out U.S. manufacturing. Trump’s pressure finally forced wealthy European allies to increase defense spending. This strengthens global security rather than undermining it.

History & “Snowflakes”

The left spent years tearing down statues and pushing CRT guilt trips and cancelling anyone noting America's unique self-correction on slavery (at a time when slavery existed worldwide). Who’s erasing inconvenient facts? Trump wants full context, not selective shame.

J6 “Reward Fund”

The $1.776 billion Anti-Weaponization Fund compensates victims of Biden-era lawfare as mentioned above, including many non-violent J6 defendants denied due process. It’s not going to be payouts for assaulting police.

“Destroying the American Idea”

America’s beacon dimmed under Biden’s open borders, inflation, and weakness. Trump is restoring it. Insulting half the country that voted for this mandate as lacking “honor and compassion” is rich coming from a man who is enjoying all America has to offer while word vomiting all over the country in a self-aggrandizing tour.

Your “fight back, no one’s coming to save us” rhetoric from a safe stage is the toxic stuff that fuels assassination attempts. Trump took bullets for this country. You’ve taken royalties. Spare us the lectures on morality while spitting on the mandate.

Note: While this propaganda tour is fortunately over, Springsteen announced he’ll be part of a “Power to the People” rally on October 3, one month before the midterm elections. The event is being hosted by Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello and will also feature Jack Black, Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, and others. Be prepared for more hypocritical fearmongering in an attempt to sway the election.
