“Well said,” the National Police Association responded Thursday after Rep. Greg Steube (R-Florida) called on the U.S. Justice Department to prosecute George Soros-backed Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner for threatening to hunt down U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in his city because they’re “wannabe Nazis.”
"This is a small bunch of wannabe Nazis. That’s what they are," DA Krasner said Tuesday at an anti-ICE rally. "In a country of 350 million, we outnumber them.”
“If we have to hunt you down the way they hunted down Nazis for decades, we will find your identities. We will find you," Krasner said, vowing to work with other state attorneys general to locate and prosecute ICE agents, even after President Donald Trump leaves office.
“Threatening a federal officer is a felony, carrying up to 10 years of prison time. @TheJusticeDept should absolutely arrest and convict this guy,” Rep. Steube wrote in a social media post, reacting to video of DA Krasner’s threats.
The National Police Association reposted Rep. Steube’s call for the Justice Department to take action, expressing its approval in a two-word comment: “Well said.”
The Philadelphia district attorney made the comments threatening and slurring ICE agents outside of City Hall while touting legislation designed to obstruct and cripple federal law enforcement from arresting and removing criminal illegal aliens from his city, as Fox News explains:
“The proposed legislation would bar ICE agents from using city-owned property, restrict cooperation between city agencies and federal immigration authorities, prohibit data sharing, and limit agents’ access to public facilities — including libraries, shelters and health centers — without a judicial warrant.”
State lawmakers have warned both DA Krasner and Philadelphia County Sheriff Rochelle Bilal against prosecuting and interfering with ICE officers carrying out federal duties. Doing so could result in both legal consequences and prompt intervention by the state Capitol, they cautioned.
