The ladies of "The View" were besides themselves over Donald Trump winning the White House again. Sunny Hostin lashed out at "uneducated" white women, Latino sellouts, and then America as a whole. An actual debate broke out over the need for self-reflection. Sunny Hostin and Joy Behar refused that entirely.
Associate editor Nick Fondacaro joins the podcast to elaborate on what this sounded like. Nick's headlines for the first two days focused on Hostin:
Hostin Lashes Out at ‘Uneducated White Women’ for Kamala Losing Bigly
Hostin: Latinos Voted for Trump Because of Their ‘Misogyny & Sexism’
On Friday, she blamed everyone: "What is wrong with America? What is wrong with our country that the Republican Party would choose as a candidate and support a candidate who is an insurrectionist, who is an election denier, who is someone twice impeached, 34-time convicted felon, someone who has been accused of alleged sexual misconduct by 26 women, found liable for sexual abuse."
"America" clearly saw all this scandal-mongering and lawfare against Trump as Democratic Party politics, as if the horrible record of the Biden-Harris administration was not on the ballot.
Nick also updates us on the latest developments in the potential $1 billion defamation suit against CNN over a man rescuing Americans from Afghanistan after Biden's shabby withdrawal. It's scheduled for trial in Florida on January 6, 2025.
