Kevin Sorbo Schools Whoopi: I’m Proof of New Hollywood Blacklist

Whoopi Goldberg attempted to fact check “Chuck” alum Zachary Levi on “The View” this week.

Let’s hope the “Sister Act” alum doesn’t give up her day job.

Levi, speaking at a Reclaim America event in Michigan, said coming out as a Donald Trump supporter could be “career suicide.” Goldberg used her “View” perch to allegedly set him straight.

“From the beginning of Hollywood, it’s always been a very right-leaning town, but I know you don’t know much about the Hollywood history, so let me school you…

“We are, like America is, we’re a mixed bunch. And sometime it may seem like there’s more Democrats and sometimes it seems like there’s more Republicans. But the truth of the matter is, very few people seem to bite it because they’re Republican.”

Levi’s claim, she said, is “more b.s.” The media ran with Goldberg’s framing, suggesting she had “schooled” Levi on the subject.

Kevin Sorbo would like a word with Goldberg.

“Of course being conservative in Hollywood and openly talking about it can get you blacklisted. I am a perfect example of that. My manager and agent said my politics and posts on social media put me at the back of the bus with studios,” Sorbo exclusively told HiT.

Sorbo didn’t quit acting after the industry cast him aside. He formed SorboStudios.com and began making faith-friendly, uplifting movies on his terms. Think “Let There Be Light” and “Miracle in East Texas.”

Sorbo says he’s far from alone.

“Every movie I have shot over the last 7 years I get at least one person, be it an actor or someone behind the camera, telling me they are thankful for me being a voice for them [as a conservative]. I tell them to be their own voice, but they fear what happened to me will happen to them.”

Sorbo’s punishment for having the “wrong” political views extends beyond Hollywood, he says.

“I am even banned from Comic Cons now from the people who run them openly telling my agent they don’t like my politics. They scream for socialism yet make their money in a capitalist business. You gotta love their hypocrisy,” he said.

The extensive proof of the new Hollywood Blacklist shreds Goldberg’s assessment. Yes, a few actors have kept working despite being openly conservative. Think of older, established stars like Jon Voight, Tim Allen and Kelsey Grammar.

Many others keep their views to themselves for fear of retribution. They once met in secret under the Friends of Abe banner. Attendees would break down in tears, according to two sources who spoke to HiT, while describing the industry backlash they faced for leaning Right.

It’s an open secret in Hollywood media circles. The Hollywood Reporter just suggested liberal actress Cheryl Hines could be “shunned” by Hollywood.

Why? She supports her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who now supports Trump.

Media outlets know, on some level, that being an openly conservative actor can hurt one’s career. Or, in the case of Oscar-nominee James Woods, essentially end it. He hasn’t had a major role since 2014’s “Jamesy Boy.”

Woods even agreed to hide his connection to “Oppenheimer” (he co-produced the film) to protect the film’s Oscar chances.

Goldberg is either lying or ignorant of Hollywood in the 21st century. What’s the corporate media’s excuse?
