The pundit panel on NBC's Meet the Press was impressed by Kamala's new polling lead. Kristen Welker was astounded that “Harris is up by nine points when we ask who is the change candidate. She’s currently in the White House! So it’s just extraordinary that she’s made this argument.”
Political analyst Amy Walter underlined how Harris has much better numbers on "competent and effective" than Joe Biden had. Is that really amazing, since most voters concluded Biden was incompetent and ineffective due to cognitive decline?
Around the table, they saluted her "incredibly disciplined" campaign. That's how Democrats praise Harris for ignoring the press on....Meet the Press. They marveled at how Donald Trump has had to struggle with "distractions" like the new CNN-pushed scandal about North Carolina GOP gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson, a black conservative. But they are PART of Kamala's "disciplined" campaign. Without their applause for her basement campaign, she wouldn't look so effective.
On HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher, MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle explicitly affirmed skipping the press. Trump is so horrible, no one has to hear her being interviewed. Ruhle said it didn't matter if people didn't know Harris's views, because Trump's views are so repulsive.
On CNN's State of the Union, host Jake Tapper pressed Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-Mich.) on whether she approved of Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) trashing their state attorney general Dana Nessel. Whitmer dodged the question (twice). We finish with PBS and NPR ripping Donald Trump as a "fascist neo-Nazi" and comparable to people who committed mass slaughter of Jews. Your tax dollars at work.
