The Media Research Center-led Free Speech Alliance is urging a key congressional committee to once and for all defund the Biden regime's censorship schemes.
In a letter to House Appropriations Committee Chairman Tom Cole (R-OK) Tuesday, the Free Speech Alliance called on the committee to zero out funding for Biden-led agencies running anti-American, anti-free speech operations.
The Free Speech Alliance specifically called out the White House and the U.S. departments of Commerce, Defense, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Justice, State and Treasury, as well as the National Science Foundation.
“The Biden administration has been brazen in its efforts to censor political opposition under the guise of mis-, mal-, and disinformation,” read the letter, signed by 18 prominent members of the Alliance. “We applaud you for making the protection of free speech rights a top priority by defunding the Biden censorship regime.”
Coalition members commended the House Appropriations Committee for having already zeroed in on Biden’s assault on free speech. The pro-free speech groups added, “Because this censorship is ubiquitous, we are pleased that you have incorporated blanket language to prohibit any form of censorship of US citizens. We would encourage your committee to adopt this blanket language across all bills and to continue fighting against the left’s effort to silence free speech rights.”
