In an Arkansas courtroom on Tuesday, the attorneys for Hunter Biden’s stripper baby mama, Lunden Alexis Roberts, filed a motion to have their daughter’s (Navy Joan Roberts) last name changed to reflect that of the presidential family tree she hails from. It’s the kind of embarrassing family drama the liberal broadcast networks would be all over if their last name were “Trump” and it involved one of the former President’s adult sons.
The story broke Thursday morning but instead of dedicating so much as a news brief on their morning or evening newscasts, ABC’s World News Tonight and the CBS Evening News covered a fire at a Cambodian casino that night. Meanwhile, NBC Nightly News was hyping post-Christmas retail prices getting slashed.
According to the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, “It was one of four filings made in the case that was originally settled in March 2020. The case was reopened in September when Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, filed a motion to have his child support payments adjusted due to ‘substantial material change’ in his ‘financial circumstances, including but not limited to his income.’”
Biden is a well-to-do international businessman with noted business connections in Ukraine, China, and Africa. But he’s claiming he can no longer afford to pay child support. This a claim a more serious news industry would question if they weren’t trying to defend a Democratic president.
In fact, the paper reported that Biden was trying to hide his wealth by blocking discovery, resulting in Roberts’ attorney demanding a list of all the places he’s lived and the vehicles he’s owned in the last 10 years:
The rest of the filings on Roberts' behalf involve motions related to Hunter Biden's request to adjust his child support payments and the discovery process into his finances and income.
One filing, stating that Hunter Biden's motion should be denied, says he "has a long, and lengthy, history of attempting to avoid discovery by filing endless and recurrent motions for protective orders. Additionally, this case was finally resolved the first time when this court denied the defendant's motion for a protective order relating to discovery."
It asserts that Hunter Biden is "attempting to stifle discovery into his financial affairs while simultaneously reducing his child support obligation on the claim that he now earns less income."
The filing also noted that Hunter and the rest of the Bidens are “estranged from the child. To the extent this is misconduct or neglect, it can be rectified by changing her last name to Biden so that she may undeniably be known to the world as the child of the defendant and member of the prestigious Biden family.”
Citing reasons why Roberts wants her daughter’s last name changed, the filing added: “Biden name is now synonymous with being well educated, successful, financially acute, and politically powerful.” “The filing cited President Biden, his wife Jill Biden and Hunter's [sic] Biden's late brother, Beau., as examples,” the paper noted.
Last year, the networks ignored the Biden family’s cruel Christmas stocking stunt where they hung one for each of their grandkids above the fireplace in the State Dining Room, conspicuously omitting one for little Navy.
