Elon Musk released internal documents to journalist Matt Taibbi revealing internal Twitter deliberations in 2020 over their harsh censorship of the New York Post and its scoops on the Hunter Biden laptop. The story broke on Friday night, and the networks did nothing over the weekend. NPR and PBS wouldn't waste any taxpayer money on reporting it. CBS mentioned it in passing on Monday morning as it obsessed some more over Trump.
The media bizarrely engaged in censorship denial, that the Twitter censorship was merely a right-wing "framing," not a reality. The newspapers piled scorn upon scorn, with the Washington Post arriving 24 hours later and The New York Times burying the story on page B-5 on Monday.
Leftist journalists like MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan trashed Taibbi as merely doing "PR work" for the "richest person in the world" and pretending he was "speaking truth to power." Hasan used to work at al-Jazeera, where he did PR for the Islamic autocrat of Qatar and pretending he was speaking truth to power.
