A legendary former Greek soccer player who was never red-carded in a game is facing 10 months in prison for his opposition to child sex change surgery. Vassilis Tsiartas was accused by the Transgender Support Association of an anti-racism law with provisions against public incitement to violence or hatred on the basis of gender identity.
Once more, we see freedom of speech and freedom of conscience squashed by LGBT fascism.
The charge against the soccer star stems from a 2017 Facebook post in response to a Greek law promoting gender identity. He stated that he “hope[d] the first sex changes are carried out on the children of those who ratified this abomination. Legitimise pedophiles too, to complete the crimes.”
Snarky comments? Yes. But worthy of jail time? No way. If every sarcastic comment merits imprisonment, there won’t be enough jails to handle them all.
Tsiartas, who played as an attacking midfielder, has been fined 5,000 euros and sentenced to a 10-month suspended prison sentence, by the Single-Member Misdemeanor Court of Athens. He is the first person convicted of the public incitement law, and he plans to appeal the miscarriage of justice.
The Transgender Support Association called the punishment “particularly important for the transgender community.” It’s also another key milestone for the alphabet mafia as it runs roughshod over freedom.
After its victory over Tsiartas, the former member of the Greek national team nicknamed El Mago, the Transgender Support Association announced its intention to continue combatting “all forms of intolerance, racism and incitement to discrimination, hatred and violence.” It also aims to “fully safeguard the human rights and freedoms of LGBTQ+ and especially transgender people in every sector of the public and private sphere.”
The human rights and freedoms of straight people do not apply.
