Less than 24 hours after President Biden called out for Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (R-IN) despite the fact that she passed away nearly two months ago, Vice President Kamala Harris insisted during a speech Thursday in South Korea that America “shares a very important relationship with the Republic of North Korea.”
Naturally, the broadcast networks of ABC, CBS, and NBC all ignored this story despite the fact that all three had at least three segments of other stories not related to the devastation caused in Florida by Hurricane Ian.
ABC’s Good Morning America covered Harris’s visit, but again, said nothing of her embarrassing gaffe that was very quickly explained away by a journalist from the taxpayer-funded Voice of America.
“Now to Vice President Kamala Harris on a mission to South Korea this morning just days after North Korea fired two ballistic missiles into the sea,” GMA co-host and former Clinton official George Stephanopoulos began.
Foreign correspondent James Longman followed from London with more on North Korea’s launch of “two short-range ballistic missiles towards South Korea's eastern waters” for “their second test in a week.”
“Now, Kamala Harris visited the demilitarized zone. She was seen looking through binoculars from an observation deck. She also spent time speaking to U.S. service members...The visit was aimed, as these always are, at shoring up support for the south,” he added.
The rest of the 67-second segment touched on fears of North Korea launching more missiles to go along with the “18...so far this year” and a possible nuclear test “as early as next month although, as is often the case with North Korea, it’s impossible to know for sure”.
But, as per Harris’s gaffe that the U.S. and North Korea are tight, there should be some optimism that the two sides will fix things pronto.

JAMES LONGMAN: Yeah, good morning, George. North Korea carried out another missile launch hours before Vice President Kamala Harris visited South Korea today. They fired two short-range ballistic missiles towards South Korea's eastern waters on Wednesday evening. That was their second test in a week. Now, Kamala Harris visited the demilitarized zone. She was seen looking through binoculars from an observation deck. She also spent time speaking to U.S. service members about some of the villages on both sides of the border, north and south. The visit was aimed, as these always are, at shoring up support for the south.

Kim Jong-un's regime has launched ballistic missiles 18 times so far this year and carried out more than 30 tests in total. There’s also concern that North Korea forged ahead with their nuclear program. Lawmakers in Seoul claim Pyongyang has prepared an underground nuclear test site and that they’ll launch their seventh nuclear test as early as next month although, as is often the case with North Korea, it’s impossible to know for sure, George.
